You did fine George I was just thinking of songs that were so memorable that they would be easy from the first line only but not too easy that the first line conatins the title.
George, if you start singing it - it's one of those that gets "stuck".... at least it's been running around in my head since deciding to use that song.

Yes WordWolf, One of my very favorite songs. Hopes the memories are good ones. Your answer, of course, is spot on. Your go!

I agree with you about "Who's Nect" and äqualung". I'm more familiar with The Doors by their catalog than which song is on what album, but I know enough to know you just mentioned "L.A. WOMA

Actually, Suda, wasn't that the name of the song? I think the idea is to give a first line that DOESN'T contain the title.
I think bulwinkl intends this as a game thread. Bulwinkl's song, of course is "Doo-Wah Ditty."
Try "Picture yourself on a boat on a river"

(P.S. I hope I interpreted bulwinkl's intent correctly and haven't hijacked the thread!)

Is this like an "easy Name that Tune" thread?
That last one is "Taxi" by Harry Chapin.
The next one is:
"It's nine o'clock on a Saturday. The regular crowd shuffles in."
