Neighborhood families out and about, parents able to visit and catch up on things.
Children that were as cute as could be.
Making costumes. Coming up with stuff the kids could enjoy.
Little messages in the treats. ("You are so precious. Hope every day is happy for you.")
When we were in Florida and took the kids out, elderly moved their chairs outside to watch the kids parade around.
Dad's out protecting their children. Watching over them.
All in all a nice time was had by all.
(There was a rumor of someone poisening his treats, "over on Robinhood Way,"and we didn't go there.
These times have gone. Not one child this year came to the door, even though Fred put out the decorations and waited patiently for the childlren. End of an era. Gone the way of the popcorn balls and pulled taffy we used to have such fun making.

Our front porch tonight.
We also have a plastic jack-o-lantern with a Christmas light in it in a front window.
We give away little 3 Musketeers, Snickers bars and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so we're not totally lame on Halloween.

ex, that has GOT to be the scariest costume EVER!! I hope it changes back, too!!
George, I can not find those pictures! :( I think that after I got married my ex threw out every single picture of mine from my life prior to TWI.
Here's one of some folks in a similar costume, though.
