you could weld rollerblade wheels to the bottom of those newfangled folding chairs that fold up into about a six inch square tube... but there's no brakes...

You laugh but that would work to a degree. I can use my legs, I just can't put much weight on my left. The way I get around the office is using an office chair with wheels.

Just think about a car and getting a chair out of it when you can;t walk.

On another note. I have an employee who has a pacemaker. It has to be replaced every 4 years because of battery like. Come up with a way to recharge it while in his chest.

How about one of these with wheels on it and a brake system like on a walker?

You could use some ski poles to help with getting around in that office chair, too, maybe.

Having known a couple kids with CP, I was once interested in innovative wheelchair design. The problem is product liability. People using wheelchairs often have balance and coordination issues that make it likely that they will have an accident. Given our litiguous society, it's the wheelchair maker that gets sued.
