I mean, I've seen people store boxes of cereal on top of their fridges. Are we to take this to mean the lady of the house might have lucky charms in her "lady bidness"? Sheesh...you could do a five-minute stand-up routine naming breakfast cereals alone!
Why, exactly, was it any of their business whether the ----uhmmm---- "top of someone's refrigerator" was clean in the first place?
We used to have random, unannounced "house inspections" in Fellowlaborers.
They checked fridge tops in the mens houses too.
The coordinators would go so far as to inspect your underwear drawer to see if everything was folded and stowed properly, as if there is some Biblical criteria for folding your shorts.
HaHaHa---Shoulda known something was amiss when I found out they reserved the right to "check my drawers".
And this was way back in the so called "good old days".(1975)
