This is our favorite movie. I highly recommend buying it. This part in particular is one of the best.
When we watched it (with our kids) for the first time.......................we cried like babies.
Mr. Bliss NEVER cries in movies. But after all the heartache and journey we've been through since leaving TWI, this movie was an emotional release and some fresh air! He cries even after seeing it for the 4 th time.
It is also my kids favorite movie. Very inspiring.
Praise Him if we win OR LOSE............................is the lesson. It's not what you DO FOR HIM, its what you allow HIM to do THROUGH YOU!
oooops , there goes the ''believing'' theory....................
It's a real athelete of the spirit movie -- made by a church in response to the pastor's challenge, what can we do to bring Jesus Christ to the world" (something like that).
The kids in the movie were students at the Church school. The head coach at the rival school, the "Giants" is executive pastor of the church.
The DVD has some stuff about the church and its people who put together the movie.
(Ebn --) I didn't catch the last line either, from Jeremy.
Coach says, to Brock that he did it carrying a 140 lb man on his back, and Jeremy says, "Coach" . . . . "I weigh 160." (Is this what you are looking for?)

Got to thinking way back when Rocky the movie came out. The Limb leader had everyone go see the movie. Just wonder what TWI thinks about this and would they have people watch it?

Eagle started a thread regarding the movie over in the Greasespot Reading Room: Greasespot Cafe thread on Facing the Giants

I feel so silly asking this, but I could not hear/understand what the player said to the coach at the end (think his name is Jerry).
Can someone help me out?
thanks!

I wish I were able to do what this kid did. At my age, I'd have problems getting the other kid on my back, much less 5 yrds downfield.

Get this movie and watch it with you kids.
You feel like you can win against the entire world.
The acting in a couple of places shows the low budget, but it worth watching.
Yes in the end even us men are crying.

Wow! What an inspiration! I wanna see this movie.
It made me think, "This is what pushing someone to be their best should be like, not LCM's foul mouthed ranting.
