when i was a kid in high school, my then boyfriend and i had a history class together... on the first day of class, we all signed our names on the sign-in sheet... but boyfriend signed in as "john barleycorn"... teacher then read off all the names (to put names with faces, i suppose) and we each responded "here"... of course, when teacher came to boyfriend's signature, teacher continued to call out "john barleycorn, john barleycorn,,," but no one responded... the class thought it was soo funny... yep, boyfriend was a smart a$$...
