Redeemed how I love to proclaim it. Received this in email today and it was such a nice reminder of how we have been set free from the insidious wickedness of even changing the songs, which had been written from the heart with the hand of the Holy Spirit. Here are the original words to "Redeemed," written by Fanny Crosby a blind woman who rejoiced that the first face she would ever see would be that of her precious Lord when she saw Him face to face in heaven.
n recent years piracy on the high seas has increased dramatically. Huge oil tankers or cargo carriers have been boarded and the ship and crew have been held hostage until the price for their release has been met. THEY HAVE TO BE REDEEMED IN ORDER TO BE SET FREE!
The fact that Fanny J. Crosby wrote thousands of poems, many of which became favorite hymns is amazing. The fact that she was totally blind is even more remarkable. Our hymn this week is Redeemed.
Notice verse four. It strikes me that Fanny Crosby was eagerly looking forward to that day when her Redeemer would appear and her blinded eyes would be opened and she would behold the most beautiful sight she could ever imagine---Jesus!
OK, OK, stop begging.. Here's another aria for your enjoyment.
One aria, two videos. The first video shows two fine young singers during an informal rehearsal of the great Puccini aria O Soave Fanciulla from La Bohème. It's a stunning display of fine talent up-close, without the costumes, staging, etc of a live opera. Such a beautiful aria, sung as the two characters first fall in love; the vocal lines themselves seem to grow arms and embrace each other:

Yes, Jesus loves me: (with all the verses). Even though I am now deaf and cannot hear a thing, this is one song I can still sing because it is in my memory bank -- it was always so good to sing, to sing to children, to myself, but mostly just to worship at heaven's throne.
Jesus loves me this I know, For the Bible tells me so, Little ones, to Him belong, they are weak, but He is strong(Chorus)
Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me, He who died, heavens gates to open wide, He will wash away my sin, open let your little child come in, (chorus)
Jesus love me, He will stay close beside me all the way, If I love Him when I die, He will take me home on high.

I love this song. I feel upbeat (not that I feel anything other that upbeat generally) every time I hear it! Mr. Jones ~Counting Crows~

I always liked Zepplins's version.. but I never saw where they could take this song on the road.. these two nice old ladies really made it rock..
I didn't know they liked Zepplin.. now I know..
They stole the vocals from Plant. to the extent he really isn't needed.. Too bad Page hasn't considered playing with them..

where does one find index file? Of course, one looks it up in the index file, under index file..
