And now that you've heard Juke "in the original", here's a guy who knew how to "interpret in in literal usage" and "make it his own", George *Harmonica* Smith, the true "Father in The Harp" to countless West Coast musicians that he not only inspired but personally mentored one-on-one.
Smashmouth - All Star (HQ) (Stereo)I needed to hear the whole thing Geisha ....or it would keep running through my mind searching for completeness...That was a funny commercial
Richard Kiley - Impossible DreamMan Of La Mancha - Little Bird Little BirdMan Of La Mancha - DulcineaMan Of La Mancha - Man Of La ManchaMan Of La Mancha - Knight Of The Woeful Countenance
the first time i heard this lady sing, it was this song off her album, "absolute torch and twang"..........her voice hit me so hard, that i left work and went right out to buy this album!........i've seen her live twice and her voice always wows me!..........
THANKS RG--Very Cool . . . . . I don't really like country music all that much--but I love this song--thinking of the people in Texas . . . . . . . . .
interesting progression in the musical tastes, and public expectations of female musical performers.........about 60 years between that first andrews sisters clip and this one........imo, neither is necessarily "better" than the other........just different..........all the ladies have talent............they just showcase it differently, imo.........and, this live performance rocked the house that night!..............

(The ending is pure theatrics.
According to all I've read and heard about George, he was really a "gentle giant".)
