But it's probably easier to type the URL into the box when you click the "image" button down below where you type the contents of your post. A box pops up, and you just type into it.
Oh, and the tag isn't IMAGE, it's IMG (and of course /IMG for the close).
Yes, the img tag is only for this bulletin board. Most email programs will let you add pictures as attachments. You can right-click on a picture in your web browser and pick "Save picture as..." and copy the picture from the web page to your own computer. You can then attach that picture file to an outgoing email.
