How did you get introduced to TWI

I was just curious how everyone got involved with TWI.

I tried to do this as a poll. But I messed it up somehow.

I was wondering if you were introduced by: family, a friend, a co-worker, or by a stranger just witnessing to you.

J, the friend of a friend of a friend, witnessed to me at a party held in the back room of a pub.

J was on his WOW year at the time.

I was impressed with J's knowledge of and confidence in God. I saw that what he prayed for - happened.

I wanted what he had. But I hated the PFAL class.

I picked this guy up in a bar..............................he was a pow wow. (maine)

I was sitting on a hillside in a park where lots-o-hippies liked to congregate.

I was playing my guitar and singing for all who cared to listen.

(In other words, I was pretty much alone.)

A local twig of about 5 or 6 approached me and became my audience.

They complimented my music and then the "love bombing" began.

One of the young ladies took it upon herself to undershepherd me. Within about a week or two I was participating in believer's meetings.

A couple weeks after that first meeting, I was sitting in the PFAL class.

The rest is somewhat of a surrealistic blur.

my sister witnessed to me..she stayed for 2 yrs and I stayed 18..

My cousin worked in the same office as the guy who was our local Twig Leader. He witnessed to her and she attended twig and signed up for the class. They may have been dating, I'm not sure.

My aunt suggested that I attend a twig with my cousin to keep an eye on her or something.

I did.

Next thing I knew I was in Nebraska.

Wows moved to my small town and they came into where I worked. They started coming in every day to say "hi" to me.

After a couple of weeks of these briefs visits, they invited me to fellowship. I ended up staying in for 9 years.

A friend witnessed to me. He had done enough crazy things, and lived through it, that I figured God or something was with him..

I think it's interesting to hear how everyone got involved. I always wondered if very many people became involved through door to door witnessing. I figured that most people became involved through friends.
