I like to grill mine in a mix of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
I concur wholeheartedly. Cook them this way myself.
You can do any of the above with sliced puffball mushrooms, too. Used to do this at a resort I used to work at when we'd find them out in the woods. Sprinkle with a little garlic and grill them up... Some we had were as big or bigger than the steaks!

Brush a little Italian dressing made with olive oil.
Then I cook Vidalia onions wrapped in foil with olive oil and some sea salt. what a combo...Yummy!

douse them with a little worchestershire sauce - YUM!
I also like extra garlic salt (or pepper) and a little olive oil - but not much because they tend to soak it up.

And you can use them like soccer balls! But I wouldn't suggest eating them afterwards.

Wait a min...?
Are you talking about those things that "smoke" when you stomp on them?
Seriously?
You EAT them?
(my 5 year old creams the hell outta 'em everytime we get 'em in the lawn....)
