I think it's a great idea Polar Bear. Altho, I have not had good experiences with online dating...I tend to prefer having the real thing in front of me...altho, this maybe a good thing..it may bring singles together who long for someone or just for learning...If it could be handled in a light and adult manner......I would be concerned about the gossip and schisms that occur frequentlently here...
PB, I think it's a nice idea since many of us out here are ex wayfers and who would better understand us than another ex wayfer, but then that could pose a whole different set of problems. The only other issue would be that we would be making connections with people that potentially live on the other side of the country and that would make it really hard for two people to hook up. I tried the long distance thing a time or two and with 3 kids in school I personally am not very mobile. And what well established man or woman would want to make a geographic change. I guess that's why I left the world of online dating. (Heck I left the world of dating altogether. But for a totally different reasons.)
However when you look at Chas, who does have a success story, there must be a way to make it successful. I imagine for folks who don't have a lot of baggage in their lives it might work.
Another thought here too is the dangers of those posing to be someone they are not. Remember the blowout with WatersEdge? I am sure there were others whose actions weren't placed on the public forums. The same happens on other dating sites as well. It's just that here we tend to trust more than we probably should.
I married someone who's never been way (NBW). It's all good. He understands and sympathesizes with my frustrations about that place. It's nice to not be reminded of twi except when I come to GSC. I can have a life outside the cult thoughts.

You're right! It's disgusting how people will try to deceive and manipulate on dating threads. Personally?? I'm single and have never been married but am interested in finding a soulmate who loves walks on the beaches hand-in hand. Here's a recent pic of me...

See now there's another one of those sexy men that aged well. He is still looking good to me. Not that I would want to date someone that could be my dad, plus I already claimed Mr. Pitt. But 007 still will turn the women's heads.

I met my current husband via Waydale. We're going on our 7th year of marriage and have two sons now...
There was no dating forum there. Singles had no problems finding each other...
There have been pleanty of hookups, marriages, etc. via GSC.
I guess my only concern would be that it would be one more thing for the Moderators to moderate... I wonder how they feel about it...

I am happily married too, but I wonder about the volume of choice here...we have dwindled quite a bit since the beginnings.

You might have to change your avatar to a chubby, winged, naked guy with a bow and arrow.
Are you sure that's a road you are willing to travel?

I thought that was what the instant messaging was for...
It's my impression that there is a fair amount of THAT going on already...
...but start a dating forum?...why not?

I had (what I thought might be a poignant) thought/ reply ---
but I realized I'd just be shot down, so I refrained.

I'm not actively seeking any companionship, ladies, but thought you would like to know that, as Sudo, I too am available! ;)
