something funny. when i was about her age (in the movie) i got semi-thrown out of my house for telling my father i was in love and going to marry a black fellow
i really wasn't going too, but i was trying to make a point
that movie and the song "society's child" you know ????
Well since you are doing dedications--I'll send this one to old VP as well, I know she wrote the song about someone else but it always reminds me of Veepee
When this came out, we were hooked. Glad I found this, and to share it. Early Orleans music was really nice, and if you ever have a chance to get it, this 'first' album (the second really) was killa. This album was our theme for quite awhile. Hope you like it. (the intro's kinda kinda)
I concur! I saw them early on in '72 or 3 at the Performance Center in Harvard Square. They were great and a very nice surprise.
I was supposed to go to some other show that night and walked into a bar with about 20 people in it with some band from somewhere in New Jersey. It was Bruce Springsomething or other that i had never heard of, He looked pretty good but the girlfriend and I elected to walk across the street and saw Orleans.
I dont know whatever happened to that Bruce guy- but Orleans was great!
