Wow. Some good stuff here.

Ran across these guys on the Tube. Great cover of an old Byrds tune. Apparently, the Byrds did this song as a cover, too. I'd thought they'd written it. Anyone know who these guys are?

Pray for Paw!

This song ROCKS!@!!

Should I say who performs it? Naw.. not necessary. I am and have always been a sucker for love songs. And for songs dealing with love lost. We have so little in life that really matters other than love of family and friends, IMO. Here's a song that touches our inner souls because we have all had our heartbreaks in love.

I've tried with all my might, But still don't understand why we ever let it get so out of hand

My arms are reaching out and holding on tight

To what has always felt so right

It's hard to figure out the answers to the questions

When both our lives are going in separate directions.

In honor of the Richard Dawkins thread

Jethro Tull live, "My God"

lyrics:

People -- what have you done --

locked Him in His golden cage.

Made Him bend to your religion --

Him resurrected from the grave.

He is the god of nothing --

if that's all that you can see.

You are the god of everything --

He's inside you and me.

So lean upon Him gently

and don't call on Him to save you

from your social graces

and the sins you used to waive.

[in this live version, he adds around minute 7:

"The Jew and Christian, Muslim is waiting to be free..."

{unintelligable}... ending with "part of me"]

The bloody Church of England --

in chains of history --

requests your earthly presence at

the vicarage for tea.

And the graven image you-know-who --

with His plastic crucifix --

he's got him fixed --

confuses me as to who and where and why --

as to how he gets his kicks.

Confessing to the endless sin --

the endless whining sounds.

You'll be praying till next Thursday to

all the gods that you can count.
