I went out for BBQ ribs when my braces came off...

... and ate gum, nuts, peanutbutter and all that other stuff I avoided with the braces...

they're a pain - but no regrets!

Congrats, Andrew. 5 years is a long time.

I had mine as an adult for 27 months, also had jaws broken in 3 places, wisdom teeth and others cut or pulled out. OUCH!!!

BUT I am so thankful that I did it. Many people comment on my pretty smile!!!

Andrew, wear your retainer!!!!!!!!! I still wear mine about once a month over night and have for 21 years!!!!!!!!

Congrats! I also (Bullinger) had braces for a couple of years.

First food I wanted after getting them removed, was corn on the cob.

Act2 gave great advice. Wear the retainer or those 5 years will not yield the desired benefit for the long-term. And it doesn't take long for the shifting to begin.
