Boris the spider must have an appetite for shutters.
It also has that sort of sinking ship look to it

Thanks,
Being part of my job and also a long time hobby Ive been taking pictures and studying architecture of sacred, spiritual and religious sites of all kinds for over 20 years, from cathedrals, to country churches, to stone circles, to tent revivals, to medicine wheels to comtemplative one room 'cells' to 'mall' churches ..to well you name it...To me they all do reflect what they do and what they believe, whether they intend it to or not. Its unavoidable.
This building fits CES , since it/they is a direct descendant of the BRC and before that the Pikes Peak University which photos were here a few years back...The same beliefs produce the same basic type of actions.
I am a big fan of architecture , especially good architecture, Theres is utilitarian , conservative, basic and simple , much the way they are or attempt to be, there are few embellishments, the lawn is mowed, but there doesnt appear to be even so much as a simple garden, or anything to set it aside from a million buildings just exactly like it, other than the sign stuck in the ground on the front lawn and the logo painted on the picture window.
I made no comment whether or not they were fulfilling their mission or not (whatever exactly that might be)
Here are a few pictures of the illustrious "Home Office" of CES/STIF/Spideyville International
Howdy Milfred!
Interesting - two of those shots look as though they were taken from someone driving by the building. Were you so scared of the evil cult members inside that you couldn't even stop the car and take a clear picture???
Jesting aside....why post these pictures? What's the point?
If you look closely enough, you'll see JAL hasn't aged all that well in this picture (however, the other person in the photograph looks AMAZINGLY like Dustin Hoffman).

It looks like a dentists office.
Do they have Highlights Magazines inside the side door beside a rack of their fold over brochures?
Not exactly a cathedral but like any 'spiritual' place, it does mirror what they do and who they are.
Its the suburban dentist office approach to spirituality

Awww shucks!! And to think that from such *humble beginnings*,
corresponcence from Europe, Africa, and the Phillippines is received.
And from *such humble beginnings*, folks left to go to said foreign countries,
and do what they felt was the Lord's will,
ministering to those in need.
Hey -- I've been there, and parked my car in that parking lot.
Sure it's small, the building is small, but the heart behind the work is huge.
I have to duck my head in the basement of the house there,
where all the materials for shipping are sent out.
But the mailing list transcends the US, and covers many time zones.
If you don't agree with it, that's your privilidge.
As I've said before -- I have questions also about CES (these days),
but I see the heart behind what they are trying to accomplish.
I could scan page after page of letters to CES from various countries,
(to the *International* office), here at GSC,
but that might not be legal.
Suffice it to say -- Your pics seemingly denigrating the *international* aspect of the office,
just don't cut it, and are superficial to say the least.
And the *sensationalizing* of the office as small (and demeaning),
totally cuts out the heart of the folks working there.
Hmmmmmm. I wonder what you might have posted,
had the CES office looked like the VPW Auditorium???
BTW -- I see this is your first post here.
Welcome to GreaseSpot. :)
(First cup of coffee is on me).
(I hate to have to edit for spelling!!) Grrrrrr!!!

True, dmiller. Big things often come in small packages.
Still, I hope they aren't an International ministry and that they're not infecting the rest of the world with their viruses.

Have they written their version of "The Way Living in Love" yet?
Seems appropriate, given the BRC style of their headquarters, filled with loving people reaching out to the entire world.
