What special dish or dishes do you make for that most holy of game nights?

Chas makes hot wings that would make a buffalo CRY!

2 lbs. of wings, separated at the joints, tips discarded

peanut oil

Texas Pete's hot sauce

1 tsp cayanne pepper - or more if you like 'em really hot :evildenk:

1 tsp chili powder

1 tbl sp grill seasoning

2 fresh garlic cloves, chopped

1 stick of unsalted butter

celery stalks

blue cheese dressing

Fry the wings in the deep fryer or deep frying pan. Place them in a large mixing bowl - set aside.

In a sauce pan, melt the butter. Add the garlic. Add the rest of the ingredients on the list.

Pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat.

Place coated wings on a broiler pan and broil until they start to sizzle and slightly brown.

Serve with celery and blue cheese dressing on the side, and with a Sam Adam's beer of your choice.

Ummmm...

Super Bowl food. I gotta' tell you guys though that I'm upset that the Super Bowl is on late Sunday afternoon. Who wants to party then? Its a WORK day on Monday. Why in the world couldn't the NFL move that game to Saturday??? Probably "money" has to play in it somehow because there would be no competition from anything else on TV.

But the goodies that are served?? Yeah.. I personally love Carol's clam dip. But would LOVE to find a great crab dip.

Artichoke Dip

2 jars of artichoke hearts (not in oil)

1/4-1/2 cp mayo

1/2 mozzerella

  • 2 weeks later...

We ended up having subs and fries. I had to work a lot this weekend, so munchies were actually supper for us.

I grilled a cheese & garlic sausage that I got at a local meat market where they make their own. I heated up some leftover spaghetti sauce and added mushrooms to it. Then I layered sausage, sauce, and pizza blend shredded cheese on a sub roll and put it under the broiler to get it all bubbly and toasty. Served with baked fries - YUM.

Oh, and beer.

Sam Adams, of course.
