It was only a matter of determining which of the AF movies it was. If you had used, "He has your mother's eyes." "Give those back, you scamp!" I would have known immediately. ;)
"You should have slipped it through the mail slot while you had the chance, Earl."
"Ramona and I haven't eaten all day. We could eat a baby's butt through a park bench."
"We're waiting, or do I have to pound it out of you?"
"Don't ever speak to me like that in my own house!"
"Why would I?"
"You just did."
"I didn't mean anything - it's just something a guy says."
"I never say it."
"I don't blame you."
"Stay here on the outer limits of the dead end zone? Nothing personal, but life at the end of the road just ain't for Captain Vic and Empress Ramona. Sorry folks, but you can color us gone."

"Ramona and I haven't eaten all day. We could eat a baby's butt through a park bench."
"Now, I'm just going to go under the covers and take a little inventory. Promise you won't go away."
"You're really wonderful!"
"That's what I've been trying to tell you. Is it so hard having your fantasies come to life?"
"And that is where you saw her mammae."
"Her mammal?"
"Her honkers, Earl."
"She dropped the towel."
"Did she drop it, or did you psychically will it to fall?"

When we string along after 11 posts you should at least try the the fine art of spoon feeding us into the answer George. I like to reveal as much information about the clue as possible to the contestants, (you, me, Wordwolf), by way of making it so revealing that it virtually becomes easier and easier. This one I followed but I did't ever have a clue. (sorry if I've misspelled something, I'm still without my glasses).

I'm guessing that WW won't mind my adding a clue: the movie starred Danny Kaye. George

Once again, you posted a quote from a movie, where you could have posted 1/2 the script without me getting it, except for the one quote you posted. This was from early on in "Red Dawn."

"Hi, I'm Amanda Buckman. Why are you dressed like that?"
"Like what?"
"Like you're going to a funeral. Why are you dressed like somebody died?"
"Wait."
"So... you still desire me after all these years? The old ball and chain?"
"Forever!"
"I'll get them!"

Similar humor, and around the same time, but different movie. Starred John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.

John Belushi wasn't in that many films before dying.
"1941"?

But he was in more than two.
In this one (not "1941"), he plays a rather straight-laced man, and Aykroyd was a nut job.

Having eliminated that one, Animal House, and the Blues Brothers,
I'm not remembering any other movies he did.

Belushi's and Aykroyd's characters lived next-door to each other...

"Yes. Yes I do. When I'm hungry."

"Now, would you like to learn to shoot?"
"I can already."
"Oh, I saw. Very American. Fire enough bullets and hope to hit the target."
"I may have been overly rude earlier... when I called you a pirate."
"And I may have been overly charitable... when I said I wasn't. But I try to live in the now... where the ghosts of old wrongs do not abide."
