Hint: This is an old movie. Not many of us will have seen it in theaters. There was an 80s remake. These are the last lines of the original. Knowing that might help put it in context that will help you guess the movie, even if you don't remember the lines.
But if someone's feeling generous, the title could be considered a synonym for The Thing. It's a bit of a stretch (so to speak). Maybe stretch is not the right word.
The Thing took place entirely in the arctic, if I recall correctly, so the fact that the arctic stays cold would have no bearing on the ability of The Thing to continue wreaking havoc. In the movie I'm quoting, the arctic staying cold is kind of crucial to the stopping of whatever it was they're glad they stopped.
"I think you should send us the biggest transport plane you have, and take this thing to the Arctic or somewhere and drop it where it will never thaw."
Anyway, WordWolf, thanks for helping me straighten that out. I do remember watching "The Thing from Another World" when I was a kid.

Yes! The Blob was defeated (in the original movie) by cold. So they froze it and dropped it in the arctic.
Interesting fact: The sequel, Beware the Blob, was directed by Larry Hagman.
