Internet Explorer performance is greatly dependent in part on the number of simultaneous connections that can be made for a current page. By default, the value is 4. This means only a maximum of 4 simultaneous connectons will be made per server.
Start > Run > Regedit
Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Internet Settings

After viewing that, I came across a video of a pretty fun telnet site.
Go to Start, run, and type in telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl and watch an ascii-art version of Star Wars 4. :)

Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 10 (Decimal)
Name: MaxConnections Per1_0Server
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 10 (decimal)
If these keys dont already exist, create them.
make two DWORD values
MaxConnections Per1_0Server : Decimal value 10
MaxConnections PerServer : Decimal value 10
