"When friendship becomes ways to gain money, when teaching become ways to gain money from other than freely given, when free will given becomes a law, when obeying men made church doctrine becomes whether you are welcome or not in a given church, when in God we trust becomes in money we trust your world is turn upside down."
You got it right there-Twi-found a way to take all the joy out of giving to the point you were told God wouldn't love you or look at you if you didn't give more that 10 percent. I still have not to this day seen any mention of the tithe in the NT. It was incorporated in Twi doctrine. Wouldn't a loving and just God want us to give out of a loving and joyous heart. Twi is just another money making buisiness. As far as I know the Fellowship leaders are still told to work ABS into one of their teachings at least once a month.
Obeying their ordinances =how well the room is arranged and how well the service is conducted is more important than the love in people's hearts. The corps leaders have to check out the fellowships to make sure every song and prayer is in the right place like the SNS teachings. And that everything said any is in some ministry publication. I know I was there.
Hebrew 7:7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
a tenth the tithe but lets read on
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
the tithe but keep reading
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
tithes is a law not grace but lets read on
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
without contradiction the less is blessed of the better -- so we see there is a better than the tithe - but read on
9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be
called after the order of Aaron?
if the law could of done it there been no need for Christ to come the last Priest -- read on
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
the law has changed but which law the law to tithe is part of these context of law -- read on
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
now this law of tithing is called a carnal law
Now there is more but I will stop here my friend
Now you know why the Way did not want us to spent a lot of time in the book of Hebews that was address to us people that were taught to live under some laws but not all
I hope you like it but I had to share the only place I believe the tithe is taught in the NT
