...something else in addition to and alongside your cool idea for sharing and recording christmas greetings and messages and such
i went out and bought a nice headset have been playing Skype with a handful of friends and family
as well as in my studies with fellow students
anyway...i tell ya...it is (typically) simple, easy, works good, and free...complete with a chatroom
then..of course...it could get really wild if whomever figures out how the entire conference could simply "skype out" by calling the Christmas greeting number you have set up
record a christmas greetings to the old friends lost in HQ, or something...hehe...be it olive branch or bag of burning poop
...which could possibly then become recorded choruses of voices and greetings and general merriment and holy mayhem...planned wider conversations and interviews could be recorded, mining for gemstones of stories

Ok. I'll bite. While loathe to pick unaccompanied over the phone,
I remembered a tape I have, where I am playing all the instruments.
I'll try to play that over the phone. Hopefully it will be *airable*.
The tune is called "Fischer's Hornpipe".
I'm playing piano, bass, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, banjo and cello.
I recorded it all on a Fostex 4-track recorder in my dining room, where the piano is..
Hope you all like it.
Merry Christmas. :)

Bravo, David! Fiddle music is such happy music. Makes me wanna dance. Where's NIKA???
I'm impressed when anyone can play so many instruments. You've got music in your soul, and that's a good thing. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Linda -- hearing it here -- it sounds pretty blurred. :(
You should hear it in the original!!
But I did what I could. Thanks.
