Well DMiller, I never saw what you said when you flew off the handle, so, that's okay. I think you are a fine fella, and I was "out of tune" for posting that....Love you man...
I laffed a lot - but I felt kinda' guilty for doing it....and I was nervous that one of my girls would walk in had hear it - but I was warned and I knew the job was dangerous when I took it.
Hey Jonny I thought it was funny. I have never thought of this place as a "family forum" either, and if kids are too young to be on the web without supervision where are the parents?
Washington weather, I could e-mail it to you. I'll check your profile and see if you have an e-mail address there. Or, you could pm me and give me your address...
I'm not big on censorship, and I didn't complain to anyone about your "monkey porn." However, I must say seeing that on GS made me feel like I do when I'm out in a restaurant with my 81-year-old mother and hear someone loudly tossing the F word around. If Mom weren't with me, I'd chalk it up to lack of class and not be all that bothered, but with her along, knowing how her generation feels about that kind of language, I'd be upset that she was subjected to it.
The wholte point, IMO, isn't that this is a place where kids are allowed (although they certainly are), but that it's a public place. To me it's not loving or fitting to cuss in front of someone's white-haired mom in a restaurant; nor is it loving or fitting to put something like your little film clip up in a public place.
I saw the clip. no comment on whether i think it should be on this forum or not. I do not pretend to be the moral majority here or the internet police.
I know some would like it some would not. like most posts here .
If you now feel it was a mistake, take it as one, plenty more of those in a good mans life . no worries.
I didn't remove it Free, someone else did. Most likely 'DOO wAP" the moderator. And, although there is a large number of folks who liked it, there is enough here who didn't and someone complained. DMiller really didn't like it, and I have always been cyberfriends with him here, so, I guess that's why I apologized. But, I did post a major warning with it. But I guess it was like Pandora's Box. "Don't open it, it may offend you!" And of course everyone opened it. And so, Free, you didn't get to see it?
And Pond, I really am not being hard on myself, really, I'm fine. I still think the clip is hillarious to the max, and have no guilt whatsoever for enjoying it. My wife and I laughed at it, playing it over and over till our stomach's hurt. But once again, not everyone has the same sensibilities, and I have become cyber friends with a number of folks here, at least a few who, on the thread before it was deleted, expressed their dislike for the clip, and to them I apologize, that's all... :)
If anyone wants to see it, send me your e-maill address at my private message deal...
Are you apologizing or are you making an issue of it being removed? You aren't very clear. One post you apologize and another you defend it.
I thought it was amusing, but it doesn't fit into this forum. We deal with adult things on this board. And will continue to have fun doing it, but in the open forum, that came across as too graphic.
The bigger issue is this: Our mission is to provide information that tells the other side of the story about The Way International and its trustees. Our hope is that GreaseSpot Cafe serves as a place where those who have been impacted by The Way can make connections with people and information which will support their particular process of recovery.
We don't have to be squeaky clean. But there are very few people that I would have sent this to in my private life let alone on GS
Here is a case in point, Our political forum. It is not visible to someone that isn't logged in, nor is it visible to anyone that is offended by the language (if they let me know) That forum is not PG rated and we deal with it to protect the GS mission.
I opened the monkey file at work and had to stop it so that my co-workers didn't hear it.
Removing it wasn't about you, although you seem to want it to be, it was about the purpose of this place staying on track.
But once again, not everyone has the same sensibilities, and I have become cyber friends with a number of folks here, at least a few who, on the thread before it was deleted, expressed their dislike for the clip, and to them I apologize, that's all...
Pawtucket, what about this do you not understand? My bottom line was/is that even though I left a warning, and even though many liked it, I felt the need to apologize to those who were offended. It was a mistake to have posted it. That's pretty clear to me. I could have just said nothing after I heard from Doo Wap, but, I thought an apology was in order...
That's okay DMiller. We have different opinions, that's all. I think Monkeys are supposed to do it with each other, whereas, I don't think that men should dress as women and have sex with each other which that movie to me seemed to promote. No secret that the movie was a gender bender. But, we are all entiltles to those opinions, aren't we?
But really and truly, it really was reckless of me to post that clip here, warning or no. The language is way lewd, and how could you know what you were going to hear after you clicked on it? Not polite of me, and you have every right in the world to not like it.
And Pawtucket, I may have made a mistake in replying after my initial post, but whether you agree or not, I wanted to apologize and that's that. I mentioned the moderators "name" because I really thought that he did the right thing and I have no problem if others knew it was he who slapped my wrist. Certainly he shouldn't care, for it comes with the job. He was doing his job. I won't reply anymore here.

Hey Jonny -- My apologies to you too.
Sorry I flew off the handle at ya.
Yup -- I read the warning, but opened the link anyway.
You thought it was funny, I didn't care for it.
Difference of opinion. Nothing more.
I should of left it at that.

At the risk of adding fuel to the fire here,
I never did comment about the clip where it was posted.
I DID comment about it in the Rocky Horror thread,
where you said that Rocky Horror was a *homo promo*.
And after you posted that, THEN (and ONLY THEN) ~~~~
(WHEN?? WHEN?? THEN!! THEN!!) -- (saying compliments of docvic),
did I comment on your *review*.
I found it ironic that you would bash entertainment that you found to be a *fag show*,
and then post that clip (on the opposite end of the *sexual pendulum*),
*swinging* the other way, claiming it to be funny.
Well -- meebe it was to some folks.
Just like Rocky Horror is to others.
Different strokes -- for different folks.
What I couldn't understand, was that you would condemn one,
while *promoting* the opposite end of the spectrum.
So -- while I didn't like the clip,
and you don't like Rocky Horror,
my comments were more about your condoning one, and condemning the other.
Again -- sorry I interjected my personal view.
I should have limited my comments to your perspective,
rather than interjecting my own.

Jonny,
I, personally, feel that as soon as you replied in this thread that changed it from an apology to a discussion.
AND you made public who said what to you, bringing in a moderator that had the courtesy to write to you privately.
