I dunno. Despite a lot of s*get.. I'm still relatively happy.
I think it is a case of happy genes. Some people were born with them, some people were not..
some of us are happy even if we are left in a corner somewhere.. others require slavish servitude to ones self, and still are not happy, or satisfied..
christ. I'm happy even with 3/4 of a bottle of merlot..
even in the current state of the economy, I can come up with that. No *donations* required, or any such nonsense..
Happiness is cool but what some people call happiness is really oblivion and self delusion. Like this PMA stuff that gets promoted in work place settings. Can't acknowledge that real problems exist. You might have to do something constructive to solve them. Can't have that now, can we? Just smile and pretend everything is hunky dory.....not my cup of fig pep.
4/30/75.....I don't think there was much happiness. Relief, perhaps ...but not happiness. Unlike Nam, though, the Geer fiasco doesn't seem to have an end date in site.

Just got this today.
"I received acommunication from Word Promotions, Ltd. today that
contained an update on our brother Chris Geer’s
condition. He is still hospitalized. He has been receiving intensive
physical therapy and is recuperating well. He underwent major
gastro-intestinal surgery and needs to heal furtherbefore another
surgery, anticipated to take place in January, 2012."
So that's the latest on Mr. G.
I've been watching different versions of "A Christmas Carol" lately so I can't help but hope that this makes Chris have his own "turnaround."

If there were anybody to win an Oscar in all of this, it would have to be Bob Hoskins portraying the Manager..

Movies aside, my nomination would be for John L., for his portrayal of a buffoon in a non fiction work.

Watching the last five minutes of the movie..
I'm really really glad that *mr* geero never kissed my babies..
The real trick here is to watch this kind of crap and still somehow stay *positive*..

Well, sure.... But I don't think you're trying to delude yourself into believing life's problems will go way if you smile and ignore them.
(Or are you?.....Hmmmmm?)
