It's the Enterprise episode where Riker, trying to figure out how to deal with the cloaked Federation ship coverup, uses the holodeck to observe a similar situation on the NX-01. Deanna is in there with him. One nice touch is that Riker acts as the Cook, a character only spoken about but never seen (at least, above the waist) on the show.
What made you leap out of your OS-NG-DS9 groove?

I was staying with the theme.
On the one hand, this sounded like an episode I like, "the Pegasus." (Whenever an SF show has a ship disappear then
reappear, it's "the Pegasus." Remember Commander Cain's vanishing Battlestar? That was the Battlestar Pegasus.)
On the other hand, the story of the USS Pegasus was revisited years later.
The episode is called "These Are the Voyages..." Riker examines his conscience concerning the Pegasus,
partly by reviewing a holodeck program of the last episode of "Enterprise."
It fit the theme. Plus, I've actually seen a lot of this episode.
"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission..." - Captain Jean-Luc Picard
"...to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, and new civilizations..." - Captain James T. Kirk
"...to boldly go where no man has gone before." - Captain Archer

"With the unexpected arrival of Admiral Pressman, my old CO, I find myself in an awkward position."
"Our brig is bigger than this!"
"I think I'm ready to talk to Captain Picard. I should've done it a long time ago."
"So I guess we're through here."
"I guess we are. Computer, end program."
"Did Trip ever take a swing at Picard?"
"At who?"

"Nobody can guarantee what's going to happen tomorrow, not even an admiral from the future!"
"'Joe'? It took you 33 years to come up with 'Joe'?!"
"Oh, I don't blame you for being skeptical... (smiles) but if you can't trust yourself, who can you trust?"

2: "Again?"
1: "As I explained the last time, it's a common occurrence, especially among Klingons."
3: "I want this thing out of me NOW!"
1: "Misdirected rage. Another common occurrence among Klingons."
"As they say in the Temporal Mechanics Department: there's no time like the present."
"I hate to sound like Harry, but we might actually make it this time."

"Paris to sickbay. It's time!"
"Remain calm, Mr. Paris. Can she stand?"
"Affirmative."
"Then I suggest you report to sickbay."
"Right. What about B'Elanna?"
"Her, too."
"Welcome to the House of Korath, Admiral."
"I love what he's done with the place."
[one of the guards shouts at Janeway in Klingonese. Ensign Paris retorts back at him, upon which he growls and walks away]
"What was that about?"
"He said your demeanor was disrespectful."
"I hope you told him I didn't mean to be rude."
"I told him if he didn't show *you* more respect, I would break his arm."
"You are your mother's daughter."
"Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01. It's been too long."
"What do you want?"
"Do I need a reason to visit a friend?"
"We're not friends."
"No. We're more than that. We're family."

"You wish to ensure the well being of your collective. I can appreciate that."
"You're sure I can't talk you out of this?"
[looks at him]
"Right, stupid question."
"Try to relax, Lieutenant."
"Oh, if you tell me to relax one more time I'm going to rip your holographic head off!"
"I hope you don't intend to kiss your baby with that mouth."

And it only took eight months to get it!
You're up, if you're really intersted in reviving this game.

Ok, let's see...
Q was taunting Worf.
Was this the one where Riker's offered Q-type powers?

It is not.

Actually, I think it's "Deja Q," where Q LOSES his powers until he does something selfless. LOTS of good quotes in that one.
It is, of course, a Next Generation episode.

I dont check in here daily anymore, but I got "Mirror, Mirror', in 3 words.
I know I'm supposed to add a new one. I'll try to find the time this morning. Don't set phasers on kill if I don't though.

Hiway must have disappeared into the alternate universe...
Let's try again:
"Captain! The Ferengi would be very interested in a base like this."
"Fine. Let's hope they find you as tasty as they did their past associates."
"You must return to your world and put an end to the commies. All it takes are a few good men."

"I don't see no points on your ears, boy, but you sound like a Vulcan."
"No, sir. I am an android."
"Hmph. Almost as bad."
"Thou art notified that thy kind hath infiltrated the galaxy too far already. Thou art directed to return to thine own solar system immediately."

The Q quotes didn't clue me in.
However, Mc Coy's exchange with Data did.
This is "Encounter at Farpoint", the series premiere of NextGen.
Give me a little time, my internet access is sporadic today (moreso than my time! :) )
