One of the best "Mary Tyler Moore" shows of all time, Tops! I was going to use this clue myself. That or: "You've got spunk." "Why, thank you.." "I HATE spunk!"
This one will be easy if you've seen the show, since I'll use characters' names:
"At the end of the universe there will be three things: Tyr Anasazi, cockroaches, and Dylan Hunt...struggling valiantly to save the cockroaches!"
Actually, I really enjoyed the show. I could give a lot more quotes, but If no one's got it having two of the main characters already, I doubt other quotes would help.
I enjoyed Space: Above and Beyond, as well. Ya gotta love space Marines! But that show went only one season.
Again, I can't give any quotes that would make it more obvious. (It would be like using: "Ralph Kramden, when are you and Ed Norton going to take Trixie and me shopping?")
A couple other clues about the show, though:
It's only been off the air for a couple of years.
Its star was more famous for his role as the title hero in another syndicated adventure show.
It has a Star Trek relationship.
In the show, Nietzschians are bad guys, but the Magog are REALLY bad guys.

Ok, I've got a time-frame....

Ok, we've got 3 shows I'm thinking of now.
I'll start with "Babylon 5",
with the Star Trek relationship being actor Walter Keonig ("Chekov").
If you know the answer, you might as well blurt it out. WordWolf's shotgun blasts might bring it down eventually, but I don't think he'll mind if you step in.

Wouldn't mind at all.
Until then, I refuse to give up until I injure myself here trying.

Wow. This one's been dormant for a while... "Uh I've just been handed a news flash. The word "Canada" is unrhymeable. It's easier to - I don't know - get drunk and try to climb a bull

Good Ole Klinger up to his shenanigans in M*A*S*H.
Poor guy all he ever wanted was to leave that place.

Correct.
That particular attempt was him in a housecoat and slippers, up on a hill,
testing the wind, then using a hang-glider to try to fly clear.
Hawkeye AND Trapper both gave that description of his appearance in that attempt.
Go, Ca Dreaming!

Yeah, Chas, it was like that!

This was a sci-fi show in syndication. It had a five-yeaqr run, though.

Gawd that quote sounds like something off Mystery Science Theater 2000....

Give us one more shot, if you can add something a bit more obvious.
Any chance it's "Space:Above and Beyond"?
I know they called those aliens "chigs" normally, but they WERE bugs.

A worthy guess.
HOWEVER,
Babylon 5 (1994-1998) was over before this one started.
I don't recall Nietzschians or Magog in B5. The Shadows were the real bad guys in B5.
Assuming you consider Bruce Boxleitner the star of B5, what other syndicated adventure show would he have been famous for?
What's your second guess?

I remember Bruce Boxleitner as Flynn in "Tron", but not really for any movies.
My second guess would be the "Stargate" stable: SG-1, Atlantis, San Andreas, Vice City...
(wait, those last 2 were video games...)

Not a Stargate version. None of them are gone yet, anyway (although SG-1 will close this spring).
Third guess?

Another excellent show, but one which sadly lasted less than one season. Nope, the one I have in mind lasted five, although all in syndication.
Raf, do you know it?

"Andromeda"
Kevin Sorbo ("Dylan Hunt") was, of course, Hercules.
The idea for the show was Gene Roddenberry's. His wife, Majel, was producer.
Tyr Anasazi is the man behind Dylan. A Nietzschian, he teamed with Dylan, but later decided to rule the universe. The quote is his.
I find it hard to believe that none of you watched this. Rent it. The last season wasn't so hot, but there were a lot of good shows in the first four.
It's late. I'll think of another show tomorrow.
