I like that guy, I cant say the same for the family that gave him a tip of 00.5% of the find for returning money that they didnt even know they had. Cheapskates.
Reminds me to say always check your pockets before you throw out old clothes, I was tossing shirts one time and found a large sum of cash in one that was destined for the dump pile
Reminds me of a recent docu I watched called 'From Rags to Riches" about a homeless guy that found I think $100 grand; he got to keep it and they followed his life.
WEll at least the guy was honest. The family should have been greatful and done more than that for him. But at least he can get a warm shower and a meal.

Nice story. I agree that the reward was way too small....but maybe once the family cashes the bonds (if they do) they'll show some extra appreciation.
I always look at the hopeful side (sigh)........
