My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
John 17:15, 20, 21 NIV
Keeping you and all involved, both here and there, and all families, both 'theirs' and 'ours', in my heart's prayers.
We haven't met but I have read some of your posts. I admire and thank you for your courage. And for taking time out of your life to do something that hasn't the best of conditions to be in.
I have 4 nephews serving. The youngest is in Germany going into Iraq shortly. Two others served two years each there and the 4th works on airplanes for the Air Force.
I was more comforted or secure with both the other boys tours than I am with this youngest one going in.
I pray for you all, and for your safe return to our soil.
Regardless of your polictical views of the action here in Iraq, thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support

Oilfield,
If you go to http://www.gcsdistributing.com you can find half a dozen good tributes - that is the author's home site of the one you posted. You might especiially appreciate "One More" and "We Support you."
BTW - if you are looking at satellite imagery you are getting it from our company or 5th Fleet at NCMOC in Bahrain which is still our gear.

I think we miss the mark in recognizing what our men and women face each day in the Militaryand especially in dangerous zones.
God Bess you all ..

Very moving, very humbling. We pray for you and all those over there.
Now I have a question - what was that soldier doing to that donkey? It looked like he was fueling it up - like a car.
But that can't be....

always poised and ready
arms to the right
and ready to fight
a far cry from ages gone by
when fears
carried the night
tribute belongs to those
who stood
never in waver
not in swager
tribute goes to them
who stood firm in heart
under an enemy's fire
flinching in inflicted pain
yet not yielding
holding ground gained
in battles fought fierce
when no one heard the scream of pain
salute those who have made supreme sacrifice
whether it be on a field of battle
or a battlefield of life
flinch yet one more time
that shall be the last
for the general comes
and he will right all the wrongs
freedom reigns
now and forever
