We can make jokes, but I'm blown away by the fact that this is possible!
It's difficult for me to wrap my brain around the fact that we can send a camera that far awway and have it take a picture of this planet....and have that camera send pictures back to us! Holy cow!
Oh well - - simple mind - simple pleasures, I guess.
What's mind boggling to me is not only were they able to land and operate both rovers successfully, but that they have been able to keep them operating remotely for over two and a half years. No one out there to tow, tune up, change the oil, replace worn parts, etc.
