Oh, my fav was the one they sang the blue book to a snappy, jazzy tune. It is like reading chapter headings with a few snippets of what the chapter consists of with music behind it.
Oh, oh what about the one were they took the description off the Way mag for a way follower and put it to music. It just repeats over and over and over and over. Atleast, for three or four minutes long.
And yet, out of the OTHER side of their mouths, they say to witness by telling what TWI has done for you because nobody can argue with YOUR EXPERIENCE.
Yes - lots of songs about debt.....if I can stomach it, I'll try to find and type the lyrics to some of those.
I'm sorry, I never bought a single album, never went to the main tent anticipating that the band would play some song or other. It was just crap.
Like any commercial jingle, it was so laden with "message" that any trace of music was pretty well beat out of it. Just like most all religious music that I've heard.
Face it. We don't have a lot of Handels running around today.
Of course, in fairness, I should point out that I have little regard for most rock and roll, certainly rap (eee gawd), and of course Country Western is what they play in Hell 24/7, I'm quite sure...
My point is to show INNIES that this ministry IS NOT into Worshipping the GOD of the bible......
They are into INDOCTRINATION and WORSHIP OF the BIBLE AND SELF....
Music should be praise and worship for our God and KING. NOT telling us what to do.
Amen to that Bliss!
Yes Goey, it did get RIDICULOUS, to the extreme!
Some of the songs Bliss showed were sung by 'groups', which, people would sing to, and play for teaching purposes and even 'background-blessing' music.
The songs I've typed out are in the Sing Along The Way. During the 90's those song books continued to be revised, and new purchases required. For a while, we were handing out 'new song copies' for folks to tape/glue/staple into their existing song books
There were a few, with a melody almost impossible to bear. Some of the 'guys' kept 'losing' their paper copy, probably with hopes of NOT HAVING TO SING IT!
Let's see... was there a song on 'no debt'... YES!!!!!
Here goes:
VE OWE ONLY TO LUB
Ve owe no man anything, only to lub
Gawd has supplied all of our need
Ve werk mit our hands
da ding which is good,
Ve trust our Gawd and believe
As to all the other Way Prod songs… I just haven’t had the stomach to open that box yet… Must be difficult Bliss

I can Imagine Craig leading this old time Gospel Favorite ...
Oh How I Hate Faggots
Sung to the tune of "Oh How I Love Jesus"
Oh How I hate Faggots!
Oh How I hate Faggots!
Oh How I hate Faggots!
Homos disgust me so ...
Purge them out of the Household
Purge them out of the Household
Purge them out of the Household
Homos disgust me so ....

Ok, JN sing us a few verses of this one again.... which was to my knowledge did not last very long.
"Who's kidding Who?
Jesus Christ is Not God!
The Trinity is Idolatry,
Who's kidding Who?"
Oh, how loverly.
I wonder if it was taught in childrens fellowship? Probably so in some areas.
(PS - this is not a joke, it was part of a real song we heard on big stages many times. )

Bliss... I HEAR YA!!!!
My Gawd, those songs were horrible, avoided... we were MADE TO LEARN THEM!
HQ was complaining about participation during the STS, everyone didn't know the NEW SONGS...
I have music for 20, dated from 91-97
Title is underlined & part of song: (misspelled on purpose... not to infringe on copyrights)
WE ARE LIVING SANCTIFRIED
SPEAKING TRUTH WITH CHRIST INSIDE
NOT ENTANGLED MIT DE VORILD
IN DE HOUSEHOLD, IN DE VERD
It's sanctifried living that sets us apart
When we allow Gawd's Verd to dwell in our hearts.
We search it with passion, our Fadda to know,
We live De Verd daily, and daily we grow.
All the energy I have for this tonight

Whoa, and I cringed at the re-written hymns in the 70s. This stuff is just awful.

CONFRONTATION
Do not be afraid, of confrontaion
Have the guts, to keep the household PURE
Be ready to respond, in any situation
salted to uphold, the prevailing verd.
Its up to me and you
to heed the prestent truth
eliminating fear of confrontation...............
Its wrong to avoid these situations, they can get
resolved by taking them on, we do the verd, by taking
care of eachother, cuz nothing takes care of itself!
yikes

PROVE the SINCERITY OF OUR LOVE
God is the supplier of everything ve need
He is the source of bounty and the blessings we recieve
Giving of our abundance will cause our lives to grow
God will enlighten our eyes to the truths that we should know
We got to prove the sincerity of our love
desire without the fire is not enough
We will reep the riches, when we sow the seed
prove the sincerity of our luv
.....God has given ministries so that we can grow
if we love the word THEY TEACH or thankfulness will show..........

They actually expected folks to sing that kind of garbage? And I thought the music
sucked in the late 70's -- How truly pathetic it became in the 90's.
Was there a song about having no debt?

The DEAD ARE DEAD
Why would you pray to someone whos dead
that logic goes over my head
but people only go as far as they're lead
The Dead Are Dead!
Experience is no gaurentee for truth
Satan will give you plenty of proof
Don't buy his lie dont get caught in his web
The Dead Are Dead!
Ok enough, i can't take it anymore. Listening to these songs again are making me gag.
My point here isn't to make fun of all the songs, on contrare....(even though they make me crack up )
My point is to show INNIES that this ministry IS NOT into Worshipping the GOD of the bible......
They are into INDOCTRINATION and WORSHIP OF the BIBLE AND SELF....
Music should be praise and worship for our God and KING. NOT telling us what to do.
I am so glad I don't have to listen to this anymore.

Ok Goey, one more...............since you asked.........
It doesnt say NO DEBT, but, you have to listen between the lines...............
WE ARE NOT LIKE THEM
If you wanna keep up with the Jones'
you'll never keep up with the VEY
But if you put your roots in the PRESENT SPEWTH
You'll have riches that never decay.
If you wanna keep your heart
and thinking pure
An ounce of prevention is worth
a pound of cure
Don't get TANGLED UP in wordly affairs
when YOU CAN BE A SPIRITUAL MILLIONARE!
You are not like them, its a world saturated in sin
You are not like them, so live the word with disapline.
With the mind of Christ
and heart to win
Don't ever give up
Don't ever GiVE IN
You are not like them, your sanctifried living for him......
We don't get lured by the lust of the flesh
its the word we believe its the word we confess!
