That which you sow you shall reap is

The reason for wars in Old Testament

To begin on what a person sows they shall reap we go to the book of Galatians to begin.

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life verlasting.

Now how a person sows goes with out a person reaps.

2 Cor 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

A few Old Testament verses on sowing to show this was true and that it is not a new truth.

Prov 11:18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

Prov 22:8 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail. 9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

Now that we have show that which one sows the same one shall reap in the same matter it was sowed, but now lets look at the wars of the Old Testament.

In the book of Exodus we read in chapter two that Moses had just killed the Egyptian and the Pharaoh sought to kill Moses.

Moses had kill the Egyptian to stop the evil the Egyptian was doing but Moses was about to received evil for good but Moses fled from the face of the Pharaoh.

Moses stop the Egyptian from smiting an Hebrew his brethren so God saved Moses when he fled from the face of the Pharaoh.

The Midian seven daughters came to get water for the water for their father’s flock but the shepherds drove them away, so Moses drove the shepherds away and help the seven Midian daughters water the flock.

Moses was welcome in the camp of the Midian and was given bread to eat, a blessing for a blessing.

God ask Moses to bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt, so after some talk Moses went to do as God had ask.

Moses went to the new Pharaoh and ask him to let the Hebrews go but the Pharaoh made their work harder than before so begin the hardest to the Egyptian's by plagues of many kinds.

Evil for evil, hardest for hardest or that which the Pharaoh put on the Hebrew’s God put on the Egyptian's until the Pharaoh let the God’s people go.

Look the Pharaoh changed his mind and went to kill the Hebrew’s but his army was killed.

That which the Pharaoh done was done unto the Pharaoh. The first war the Hebrew’s fought was done with water, by the love of God that which the Egyptian's came back at them.

Exodus 17:8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

So God help the Hebrews win over the Amalek people who had sowed to kill the Hebrews so the Amalek’s were killed.

Look Joshua sent out two spies to see what Jericho was thinking about the Hebrews but the spies had to hide for their lives with Rahab so only Rahab and her family were saved.

Jericho had sow to destroy the Hebrews so God destroy Jericho all but Rahab and her family.

Exodus 34:11 Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. 12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

And the Hebrews did make a covenant when they could but when the places had sowed evil then all the Hebrews could do was give them what they sowed.

Now this is why wars came because if you read you will see that the Hebrews make covenants but most seem the Hebrews after hearing what happen in Egypt and others places sowed evil know as war, but like the Egyptian's they received what they sowed.

God did not want to kill anyone but he had to keep his word to who he gave it to and God gave his word unto the seed of Abrham.

The fact that they were a bunch of supersticious, greedy barbarians has nothing to do with it?
