Nothing ever changes when it comes to religion. The mindless do gooders of Christ's day thought God was going to reward them for all the hard work and discipline they put into their world view. There are people even now that think God is going to reward them because they helped people get born again or gave money or taught the bible or ran a fellowship or spoke the word or went in the Way Corp or any of that puke they take upon themselves to do because they want to think they are doing Good and right. I can hear it now, "But Jesus I went witnessing for you thousands of times, I ran a fellowship in my home and help people understand the bible. I prayed with people and helped them get their lives on the right track....bla...bla....bla.." Of course Jesus will tell them that he didn't ask them to do any of that stuff they took it upon themselves so why should they be rewarded for it? Just like the once upon a time leaders in the future who will claim the same kinda crap, Jesus want even know who they are. The only people who get rewarded in life are those who participate in it. Life is a gift of love and blessing. What could be more rewarding to God than hearing, "thank you this is the best present ever?" All those idiots who think they are burdened with righting the wrongs and helping the downtrodden and poor think to much of themselves and not enough of God and his gift. If God has something for me to do He will tell me. If He has something for me to do for someone else He will tell both of us. Otherwise I just enjoy the organic grant from God. I have found it very rewarding especially once I freed myself from the bondage of Herod and the Pharisees or to put it in more modern terms the religious and political dogma of this world.

Thats to bad. If she was and could speak up against the Way It might come to an end. But you gotta figure that is what you get from a lifetime of PFAL, WAP and the Way teachings mental inability.

ExC, She should be made aware of her part in the suffering and wasted lives caused by the Way. VPW has been died for almost 20 years and there are people who still carry his lie's as if it were Gods truth and they will die in their delusion. Some people say what is the harm if people believe what the Way taught. No harm just unrecoverable loss of the most providential gift a man bears, his time on this earth. Her efforts made possible yet another burden to be laid upon the backs or Gods people. As a direct result of her actions a portion of Gods inheritance will not walk on holy ground they will drag it anchored to their necks until God unlocks the chains. I am sorry but that is how I feel about the Way and all religion. May God have mercy on her soul.

Goey, You forgot gazebos and duck ponds. The one thing we must do for God which is of the utmost importance to His people is build gazebos and duck ponds. ExC You make me feel light and spirited. I am still trying to tone it down but some things really get me going. The only thing that seems to help is reading your posts.

The verse about the servant not being greater than the master should be burned into their foreheads with a coat hanger then they should be forced to crawl on the hands and knees reciting it on live tv every time someone who actually had a job and paid for their wanton excesses is reported to be within the 200 mile radius. I will never concede to the idea that I should have to pay in order to benefit from something that my money and labor makes possible. The priest should have just charged admission at the temple door and told the people it was for their own good. If I supported someone for years so that they could develop some talent like song writing and because of my money and care they were able to become successful and then they told me if I wanted to come to their concert I had to buy a ticket like everyone else it would not end good for them. There is no difference between that example and the Way tree or The Way goat rope or whatever they call it now. continued on next post...

Justnothinking People who think like you are the reason slavery will never go away. No one has a right to live a shrimp and caviar lifestyle while those who's labor make it possible eat beans and rice. It don't matter how logical your argument is it will never be right. It is really the old dispute about power. If you have the power to do a thing does that mean you should do it or make it right if you do? Just because you have the power to tax someone like the Way does that doesn't necessarily signify that you should nor does it mean it is right if you do. Justnotthinking, You do not seem to understand the difference between asking, Why am I being CHARGED for an event? And why isn't this event free? You suggest that people are saying an event should be free. But what is really being debated is free vs free of charge. Even the quote you dragged up doesn't say that things should be free. The intent of it says, why does the Way CHARGE it's people for the event, there is a difference. Nothing is free in this world. There is always a price. However, I have gone to events put on buy churches and businesses which I was not charged to attend on several different occasions it cost me nothing for food, room or materials. But I have enough since to know that someone somewhere paid for every thing it was not truly free. Do you really think that an organization must charge the people who's labor make it's existence possible for the very service which it was established and entrusted with providing?
