I did that with my own daughter about 10 years ago. She used her babysitting money.

My parents wanted to have me deprogrammed after talking to their rabbi (I used to be Jewish) when deprogramming started coming of age around 1974-75. They decided against that, but disowned me instead because I never went back to being Jewish.

At least they're up front about what they want and how they're gonna get it.

It seems like just yesterday (maybe it was) that I saw him in an ad doing gymnastics. Then again, maybe an 84 year old isn't supposed to do gymnastics. :(--> Anyway Frank, here's to the man that put chicken on the map.

I remember some of the guys of earth, wind, & fire took it & then a corp guy had his interim year with the group

Just watched the video. One of the best movies I'd seen this year (another great one was The Notebook). Johnny Depp's acting was wonderful!! I like little Peter's answer when asked if he was really Peter Pan.

Let me try to give you another perspective. I happen to work at the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast (the real name of the hospice). Because of federal HIPPA laws, I can't talk about any specific about any particular patient, but I can tell you that most of what the public has been getting has NOT been acurate. The public gets only what the media lets them have. This hospice is the only hospice in Pinellas County, as there is a state law that specifies that there can only be one hospice per county. Woodside (which is only one of the many hospice teams) has approx 70 beds (and these are usually full). That means that there all these other families that have to go through all the crap just to see their loved ones, sometimes missing their deaths because of being held-up. Which side am I on? I'm on the side of ALL my patients and ALL their family members. (Yes, that means both sides of HER family too.) BTW, about the clippits of the film they always show, it was made in 2001. There is a reason why they only show that small portion of a six-hour video.

I've read most of her Kay Scarpetta books. I enjoyed "seeing" her niece grow up, but was miffed that she ended up becoming a lesbian (PC is also one).

When my oldest was only 9 months (he's close to 30 now), I went to a Sunday night hook-up. Of course it was required, along with the baby. No babysitters for twi'ers, the children had to hear the Word no matter how young. Well part of the way through the meeting (before the hook-up the was the usual prayer, songs, then after another teaching by the branch leader (unmarried, childless, male corp grad). He got tired and hungry (I didn't expect the meeting to last so long and only had a bottle for him, not a meal). We went to a bedroom of the house so the others weren't disturbed. After the meeting, the branch leader came up to me and told me that I had to get my child "into subjection" so he'd act better. Then I asked him, "Since you've learned much more in the corp about this than I've learned, could you tell me how to get a tired, hungry 9 month old into subjection?" (Don't remember my tone of voice: whether in ernest or sarcastic) --> Anyway, he didn't answer, just walked away.

Their reasoning (the same with having a pet) is that if you had a mortgage, you wouldn't be able to travel extensively (at your expense) at the drop of a hand in a glove (ie wow, corp, etc) Of course, you wouldn't be able to get a really good job, because you couldn't stay at any job for more than a year. After all these years, I'm still asked why I had jobs in all those places and moved so often and if I plan on staying here!!

I try to move on with my life. I go to a good church, I work full time at a hospice (yes, THAT hospice in FL), and I go to school part-time. Come to think about it, I think a big reason that I don't post as much is that I'm too busy. :D-->

Thanks Apple. I didn't have a choice in getting the cd. It's an instuctional cd that is required for a class that I'm taking.

I was using a cd in my computer this morning when I heard and felt a pop. My cd had shattered inside my computer! I've never heard of that happening before. Anyone know what might have happened & if it could happen again.

Linda Do I know you? I was in Wheeling from 1978 to 1980. I was in Mel's twig. Mel & Bonnie had a son shortly before I had my son.

Lindy, Then I probably know you. I twigged there from about 92 to about 94. I didn't live that far from there. I went with my two daughters. I think one time my then boyfriend came with his son.

Hey Michael I haven't seen Dan in many moons (bad pun). Then again, I also haven't kept up with my ex (also in the quartet) Ron Moon, since we divorced back in the 80's & I moved from the northwest. I did hear that he remarried, but wouldn't marry her until she took the class. Have you heard anything about him (is he in or out)?
