  1. Depending on the time of year, you may see a number of Canadian flags here.
  2. Actually, that's my sentiments. I was never one to ponder the empty nest syndrome, just enjoy it.
  3. That's the one that we had. I can't remember if I got to sleep in or not, since that was before the "fog years". By the way, I saw my daughter and her husband last night. It was short, but sweet (they left for home this morning). They didn't bring the kids with them (the first time that they've gone away like this without any of them) and all my daughter talked about was how much she missed them.

David You must be the the profit of Jehovah Java (like that one). I have followed your example and also do the French. (May THE LORD OUR STIMULANT bless Sam's Club forever. Amen)

    The Cone of Winter

Would you believe that they're even predicting that we might even get a "dusting" down here! :o Does anybody have an extra pair of long johns I can borrow?
  6. We had a copy of this song on an American Bandstand record. This takes me back to slumber parties. Nothing better than a basement full of teens pulling an all-nighter. Now, slumber means actually getting some sleep. How things change.

    Coffee

For health reasons, I'm keeping on with my caffeine habit (since it's really the only one that I have). Without it, I get withdrawal symptons (headache, irritable). I figure for the health of everybody around me, it's better that I keep drinking the straight stuff. (Ok, as a treat I do like a latte once in a while)
  8. I got that one in an email at work the other day. It also included, Thanks for the memories Kathy. Did anybody see the movie with the same name of the 3rd one? The first one reminds me of when the kids were babies.
  9. According to Virginia Madsen, Ken is definately a gay man and she said that she can tell a gay man. After all, Ken has streaks in his hair. Notwithstanding, I've got proof! Warning, this picture may be offensive to some.
  10. Wernt them thar wards awlrady in de dictionry
  11. I am well. Had a major exam last night, so was busy studying. My youngest daughter and her husband are coming down tomorrow for the weekend for an anniversary thing.
  12. Boy, has she ever grown up! When she first started competing on this level, she was only 13 and had to get special permission to compete in the ladies. She ain't a kid any more.
  13. Please Don't Eat The Daisies was based on an autobiography by the same name. If I remember right the name referred to an incident when they moved to a new house from an apartment and one of the kids started eating the daisies in the garden. (Then again, I may be remebering part of Erma Bombeck, who I was also reading around that same era.)
  14. That's the one that I had. my parents for cleaning out my things. I also had a TV Guide collection (that was also gotten rid of) that included Nov 1963 edition that was dedicated to the assasination of President Kennedy.
  15. Sudo That brought tears to my eyes. This was the first album that I ever owned. My dad got it for me in 1965. I remember watching all the Ed Sullivan shows when the first came to the US. At the time I wondered if it was rock music in general that I loved or the Beatles in particular. I decided it was the Beatles. I later (and it disapeared years later) got a 45 rpm of their original single of "My Bonnie".
  16. I saw it. You must have been in the kitchen getting a beer.
  17. Sudo This seemed to go with your song.
