JT, Thank you for the beautiful compliment...it is a pleasure to help someone 'make their day'. So glad to hear you are exiting that place called TWI. The damage in your family will certainly heal up in time and you will find that the bonds are now sweeter and tighter more than ever before. Congrats and welcome home! 'til the next time...

JT, Yes I am ... in every possible way. Thank you for asking. How about you? How have you made up for the lost time? Enquiring minds want to know :D--> :D--> 'til the next time...

Just Thinking, Forgot to answer your question. OOPS --> No I have never attended an offshoot. 'til the next time...

Just Thinking, Thank you for commenting on my 'sour mood'. I think what happened was as I started to write that post, it brought back all those thoughts and emotions I felt many times when I was in TWI. Attending fellowship 3/week was a strain for me(and I'm sure for many, many others). It stole my social life away. It stole my time away. I could never be part of the human race it seemed because...I HAD TO GO TO FELLOWSHIP or I WASN'T COMMITTED. I could not take evening courses. I could not take self-interest courses. I felt like TWI had me by the balls...(Figure of speech of course :D-->) 'til the next time...

Mel Gibson's, The Passion-a letter
A la prochaine replied to Lightside's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Lightside, Thanks for posting that letter. I can't wait to see it. I am an avid Mel fan and have always found him an incredible actor and director. Whenever Mel decides to do a film and wants to tell a story ... you better move over and take note. It will move you, it will overwhelm you. ALA's top 5 picks of Mel movies... #1 Braveheart #2 The Year of Living Dangerously #3 The Bounty #4 The Man Without A Face #5 Ransom & Lethal Weapon (the 1st one) :D--> 'til the next time... -
Oaksie, Aloud....I'm laughing my 'you know what' off here Oak! :D--> 'til the next time...

Is it just me or what? The thought of attending anything remotely 'like' TWI makes my skin crawl. I think if I were to attend a meeting where people taught things even somewhat vaguely familiar to TWI and it's doctrines I'd have to leave the room. I think it is due to the fact that I mostly hated 'fellowship' when I was in. Perhaps that's it? I found their fellowships stiff, forced, uncomfortable at times even embarrassing. We were supposed to be a witness of the abundant life and we were mostly people who could barely keep it together week to week. So I guess I'd have to say...NO, no offshoots for this gal! I'm in a real sour mood ... 'til the next time...

Where has God took you since you left the Way

Rags my friend, Glad you are out. Now you can breath and think the thoughts you care to think when you care to think them! It's inspiring to think of the possibilities. No more doubts, fears and worries. No more... oh no what will happen if I leave? Will God abandon me? Will I become unhealthy? Will my children be safe? Will my life end up in the toilet??? Life has become marvelous since leaving. My future is mine... no more to be bogged down with 'meetings' and hard-hearted a$$holes! And best of all you don't have to listen to phrases such as...'Is it available?' and 'Where was your believing?' Life is beautiful! 'til the next time... -

Roy, I have seen this movie once.. and it was compelling to say the least. My mother saw it when it came out in 1958, and still claims it is her alltime favourite film. It is an incredible movie! Thanks for bringing it up...I should own this movie... it's one I should have in my library. ;)--> 'til the next time... -
