Imbus, I've been thinking of this lately regarding TWI. It became a co-dependency. We wanted the high, therefore we would jump through any hoop to get it. They had the drug and we were the junkie. Those notes that Jell posted, made me think that no one in their right mind could sit there and think that was rational. Yet, I did. I sat through hours and hours and hours of those LCM power-hungry teachings and thought it was the best thing since slice bread. --> I know I'm going off on a tangent here but, where we pre-disposed to TWI's thinking and ways because of upbringing, past experiences (usually negative ones) and phobias?

JT, You are more than welcome. Recapturing the moment, reminds of me a drug addict who is perpetually trying to relive his first real high, but never really able to attain that moment again. So glad I'm living in the here and now!

WG, That seemed like such an elusive/fleeting time for me in TWI...it lasted for about 2 mths when I first arrived in 1976 and poof it disappeared as fast as it came. So sad --> I tried for the next 20 years to recapture that moment. It was never to be again. :(--> Glad to hear you hung on longer than most. Here's a recent TWI sadistic leadership story - hot off the press! An innie related to a good friend of mine that his BC had done a 'communion' service around Easter. Last week, during their monthly fellowship coordinator's meeting most of the meeting consisted of this BC reproving everyone there for not sending him a thank you card for doing the communion service. Say no more.

Boring = reading LCM's book on the book of Acts. I could never get past the first few pages... BORING BORING BORING BORING...COMPLETE DRIVEL! Oh, I forgot one more thing...I remember one time being sent out to the back 40 at Uselessoria, Kansas to an empty plowed up field. This field looked like a field that had been trampled by a few bulldozers and the dirt was hardened and in huge clumps all over the place. They had us sit there in the blazing heat... coming from where I came from .. it was like an inferno! Well, our job was to sit there with shovels, spades and rakes and break down the clumps. It was USELESS work. It wasn't like they were getting ready to till the field either. It was busy work. I kept thinking.. what the he!! am I doing here? I'm an intelligent person... how low have I gone? -->

Question for all OLMs I saw the name of a singing group called 'God's little monkeys' last night. They seemed to a be a folk type group from England I believe. Does anyone know of them or heard of them? Could they be part of the Amazing Sea Monkeys? Maybe they're part of A.M.P (Amazing Monkey Productions)? Socks, do you know?
