Yes I have a story I just pulled this morning on my sweet but gullible hubby. I told him I was speaking to Paw last night in the chat room and that Paw had told me he was shutting GS down... :D--> :P--> :D--> He said...WHY??? I said: April Fools! I know...I'm bad -->

Taylor Company, Recently I read Outandabout's story here on Greasespot on the MY STORY forum. That pretty much gives you a good taste of what the way corps was and I believe is still all about. I know she was in the 8th corps ... but I have a feeling that the 'corps' of the program hasn't changed. Those running the program are basically still self-serving and evil.

Thomas, Wow! Same damned thing they pulled during the Fog Years 'Do you stand with LCM or with Geer'. Sheeshhh.... History repeating itself!
-
Texanbro', If you don't come back soon, I'm gonna tell big sister about this and she'll beat you up!

Outandabout, I felt many times we were put in these surreal situations to make us numb. After awhile, even when terrible things happened 'in the world' or to people inside or outside of TWI, that I was pretty much indifferent. I felt inside that to show any emotion would be me 'out of control' or 'lacking in control'. Please carry on with the moments. I just wanted to let Outandabout know that I understood what she was saying. -->

Fingers are getting sore from tapping... Please hurry back :(-->
-
Rascallion, Wonderful analogy. Thanks. ;)-->
-
Tap, Tap , Tap... You know what that is? It's the sound of my fingers tapping on my desk as I wait for the rest of your story... I'm not letting you off the hook that easily!

Sir Socks, I have absolutely nothing to add to that post. I'm speechless. You pretty much summed it ALL up! Thanks. :)-->

Xena, WOWZA!!! That's a freghen head-altering- mind-full!!! I clearly remember Donna getting up and teaching about women not being a conduit to the devil for their husbands. She used herself as an example. If that ain't mind-bending, altering ....... I don't know what is! Oldies...take that and smoke it! -
Oaksie, I got you... and I laughed too! Oaksie made a funny. :D-->
-
Ya!! You vowed a vow...now buck up! :P-->
-
Texasbro', Don't forget about us here...we want to hear 'the rest of the stooooryyyy'! Come back, come back...whereever you are. :(-->
-
Outandabout, What a wonderful story!!! I was so sad :(--> that it had to come to an end. Can you make some stuff up...please... we won't tell.. and heck we probably wouldn't know the difference anyhow! Hey, I finally showed some of your pictures to my hubby tonight. He recognized you! He was 10th Corps. Well, Outandabout...it has been a slice getting to know you and your story. Keep up the great story telling. You surely have a gift for it. I hope someday we meet. :D-->

Outandabout, You mean you're the immature one as well? :D-->

Strange Home Movies a la Mr. Bill!!! Mr. Bill gets ignited by lighter fluid Mr. Bill gets rolled over by a dump truck Mr. Bill gets his arms ripped off Mr. Bill gets flattened by a boulder Mr. Bill gets beheaded by a ravenous dog Oh, this little plastercene man sure lived an adventurous life! I used to die laughing watching those episodes. Thanks for bringing that little tid-bit of my past back to my recollection! :D-->
-
For what it's worth...hubby and I are 9 yrs. apart! I'm younger and the immature one! :P-->

Exxie, My hubby is fine. I of course was later reproved because of my 'uncrying' way at the meeting. He actually said, "Your husband was crying...that was good, but you showed no reaction. I'm concerned. It shows me where your heart is at." Ya, it was brutal. The brutality with which we were handled...was completely unfathomable to me from a so called 'Christian Ministry'...but then again...the inquisition was all done in the 'NAME OF GOD' as well! My mom-in-law and other twig members attended those fellowships for a short time, but hated it. They found the fellowships unloving and cold and uninviting. They felt they were being watched. So, they stopped going and just started hanging out at our place for coffee and just hanging!! Outandabout, It's ok...I don't mind reminiscing...it's also a big part of the healing process!! I want to thank YOU for starting the thread. And thanks for the green beer!!! Tho' I don't drink beer...I'll have some Dubonnet with you! And St. Paddy's Day!!! Perfect... I'm a celtic nut! Whitedove...halarious!!! I spewed all over my screen once again! -->
-
Texasbro', I was at ROA '76 as well. My first. I lost my wallet for the whole week and ate yogurt and nuts pretty much the whole time. It was dirty tho'. Remember the black stuff they put down on the track to keep the dust down when the horses raced? And, we were camping in the middle of the track -->. By the end of the week everything I owned was charcoal! Great story...keep going. And I love watching you and sis' discover all these things about each other. Like watching someone else's home movies!! :D-->

Still with the same hubby after almost 22 yrs. I met hubby when I was 14...but didn't date then... So I knew him before either of us got involved with TWI. Right before we got the boot tho', hubby was told by our fearless leader, to leave me and his two daughters back then. He didn't. We have both changed since our TWI days and now it's like when we knew each other way back when we didn't have TWI in our brains!! :D-->
