George, I'm assuming...you're far-outing (not to be confused with 'farting' ) because of my win. Thank you!!! :D-->

Shell I had to laugh when I saw your question. Yes, I too at times have not always understood Chatty and her way with words. But after awhile, you begin to get into that 'groove' of speaking that she is in. Let me translate: I want it to be tonight cause my brain is fried! means... I want this evening to come quickly because all this talk about me singing and all the nice things that people are saying is really freaking me out. Translation according to 'ala'. :D--> I guess I can say I'm Tri-lingual now...English, French and Chatty. :D-->

OK, I gotta share this with you guys here...since I don't know who else to tell. Remember a few nights ago...I mentioned a singer that I had just heard on television. His name was Amos Lee. I believe it was Sudo who did one of his fancy manoeuvres and linked one of Amos' Lee's songs called 'Arms Of a Woman' on this thread. A few of you didn't think it was your type or style of music, a few of you liked it. That's ok. Anyhow, my big long winded story is this...that that night, as I was sitting on the couch, listening and watching this video, there was also a contest you could enter to see Amos Lee at one of his concerts. He is starting a North American Tour on Oct. 3. So I entered the contest. (I have NEVER done this before in my life ...but being the 'coming out of the closet' music junkie that I am, I try to at all costs to attend any music event possible). So, this morning I 'ALAPROCHAINE', received a phone call from MUCH MUSIC telling me that I am the grand prize winner of the Amos Lee contest. :D--> :P--> :D--> :P--> :D--> :P--> :D--> :P--> :D--> :P--> :D--> :P--> :D--> :P--> Me and one other person will be flown to any of the one destinations across North America (all expenses paid) to attend an Amos Lee concert. I will also be given spending money. The destination will be decided in another week. He is playing from NYC to LA and 3 destinations in Canada. So, to say the least...as Chatty said... MY BRAIN IS FRIED!!!!!!!!!

Chatty ---> (brains fried) :D-->

I am sure that the family would have put Mrs. Wierwille's obituary in the newspaper. Living in such a small community, I am sure most people knew about Mrs. W's passing and her funeral time and place. There are no excuses to not knowing about this event. (except if like Belle said...you are a TWIT head...and live with your head in the sand). The ones I don't excuse are people like those names that Skyrider mentioned in his first post. THEY KNEW!!! Groucho, You speak great truth, sadly. :(-->
-
Dear Sky, Oh please don't tell me that those who are living in the very house that Mrs. Wierwille provided for them to live in, didn't attend the funeral?? Please pass the barf bag??? How low will they go? :(-->

I heard Chatty... :D--> I heard Chatty ... me who usually can't get anything to work...IT WORKED ... IT WORKED ... :D--> :D--> :D--> Me having fun! :D--> So nice...so nice...so nice...so nice!!! Keep up the beautiful work girl!

Glad you enjoy my sense of humour Kathy... :)--> But I think it's my 'not getting it' that you find most amusing...that 'pity party' flew right over my head! --> Highway, When you were all discussing Rocky and Bullwinkle and other cartoons...it got me thinking how I did NOT enjoy those cartoons when I was kid. I always felt that they were done so ship shoddily...and I can remember as a kid thinking how poorly the artwork was in them. Now, perhaps my mistake was that I was comparing them to my all time favourites 'The Bugs Bunny Show'. For me...those were the ultimate. Even as an adult today, I can easily sit and watch a good episode of Bug's Bunny, Daffy Duck..and that Foghorn Leghorn, he's absolutely to die for funny!!! Thems my two cents...(canadian that is :P-->)

Highway, Thank you for taking the time to respond to my inquiry. You know, I certainly would be far more inclined to believe what you are saying about Famous Studios than the HarveyToon Spiritualist's spin I feel into years ago. --> Thanks again!
-
Highway, You seem to know your 'cartoons'! As you should! I have a question for you regarding 'old cartoons'. My brother told me one time that Harveytoons, the producer of Casper the Ghost, Wendy the Witch and such cartoons was a deep believer in the occult. Therefore, he put these cartoons out to the young children in order to expose them to spiritualism at a young age. Of course, I was involved in a cult at the time he told me this...and swallowed it 'hook', 'line' and 'sinker'. Love to hear your input on this. Thanks

WW, My synopsis: MUCHO ATTENTION SEEKING BEHAVIOUR OF VP'S PART MUCHO 'LOOK AT ME' THINKING. -->
-
Sorry Highway, I don't have any input into what you are asking, but I do have a question. I believe that since the passing of Don her husband, she has been living in the Wierwille home with Mrs. VP (until she moved to a home in St. Mary's), with her daughter Laurie, husband and child (children?). Will Wanda live in this home now for free as long as she wants?
-
chatty, those ladies all look so sad and glum. :(--> perhaps they are discussing their years in TWI? :D-->
-
:o--> That's my usual MO...I rattle on... people pay no mind! :(--> (I feel a pity-party coming on! :D-->)
-
Did not VP once teach that sincerity is not a guarantee for truth? Sheeeshhh...maybe that's one that I should have taken heed to?? --> You know...that was the stuff that kept me in for so many years. VP would do this display of emotion and I would think ...WOW! ...it must be the REAL thing...he's crying! I never figured it was Hollywood!
-
chatty, It's so comforting to know that some people read the stuff I rattle on about!! :D-->
-
Yes...it is ... and I did admit that I was cheating OK...I'm COMPLETELY LOST with this cartoon thingy... So, I'll just go and play with my music for awhile... Listening to BB King and Eric Clapton doing 'Come Rain or Shine'...now...that's just a wee bit of heaven!!! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :D--> :D-->
-
Sudo, OK.. I cheated.. I googled...and yes...It's a Tale of Two Cities...and it's Ronald Coleman talking. :D--> Ala done good!
-
WW, Very Very funny...and very very true! Thanks for the chuckle. :D-->

Reasearch Geek, I liked how you put this. It made me think about how so many people whom in TWI we considered friends, close friends, brothers in Christ. Yes, they were not our enemies/competitors, but often TWI was the thing that drove the wedge between people ~ not the people themselves. Thanks for helping me put things in perspective. Gladtobeout, Do not feel you need to apologize...as Oakspear said...You saw what you saw. I think it was a beautiful gesture for people to have attended Mrs. W's funeral and share in that moment of grief with her family. We all grow because of the things we decide to do in our lives ~ and I'm sure LCM grew from this as well. Yes there are those whom are angry at him and rightfully so...perhaps this is a stepping stone of healing for LCM. As Research Geek said...he (himself) had to work some things in his head before arriving...and today, I believe he is a better person for going to that service.

Sudo, I have no clue what that was from? I've heard those lines before...but impossible for me to place. I must tell you Sudo...I do like old movies..(not all...but some) but I am in no way a connaisseur of any of them. Sorry :(--> But, willing to learn. :)-->
-
Ted, I thought of that very thing myself...the part about this not being the appropriate thread to start something like this. Will try to come up with a title for the thread. I am still in wonder tho' whom Gladtobeout actually saw? Maybe it was LCM. Maybe Gladtobeout just happen to see him, as he may have been trying to lie very low??? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?????????????
-
Ted, YOU DO NOT WANT ME AS PREZ...believe you me! Did you see the mess I made on the nostalgia thread yesterday? There's proof right there that me as prez is a VERY bad idea. Ok...hmmmm.... verses... The Club Of Confusion Verse One Pardon us for the intrusion But we are in a state of delusion I often feel my life's an allusion Until I see ... it's just my confusion (I always sucked at poetry...sorry Ted :(-->)
-
Sudo... So what's the name of my movie???? Don't have time to click onto your link Sudo right now, but I will later this evening. George, Birdland...wonderful piece ... have you ever heard Manhattan Transfer do this piece? It's heavenly!

Now I'm confused?
