  1. Hello Jonny, Nice to see you! Just to let you know...the poll shows up at the top of each page in this thread. I voted Abuse from Way Corps.... but actually.... the real reason was WE GOT THROWN OUT...which I guess is being abused by Way Corps. I'm saying Way Corps abuse.. because this wonderful Way Corps R*ndy G*nn told my husband to leave me after he had so lovingly told us we were NOT WELCOME AT THE WAY!!!
  2. Good Mornin' Kathy, Shellers and Moony, Pickle Day...what a nice way to be greeted this morning. Yes, ditto on what Chatty said Shell... Nice to see you here. :D Maybe we could think of ways the word PICKLE is used today... here's a few... OH WOW, she's got some PICKLE  stuck you know where!!! OH NO!!! I'm in a real PICKLE!!! (my usual state around here) OH MY!!! Did you see that guy last night... he was sooooooo PICKLED. anymore??? Kathy.... glad you're feeling better...pickles in the nights....ummmm....I hope there wasn't ice cream to go with it or you're in real trouble. :o
  3. OK chatty...I think i will now join the ranks of Mr. Focused right about now... I was just listening to a Norah Jones... and you know what I love about her ... is her absense of notes.... Yup...that's it!!
  4. Chatty.... You made me chuckle....still chuckling.... Yes...it's the fever....I've not posted 'til now... George, If I post the title of the movie you're mentioning... I will have to once again use a word from another language and then Sushi will get all confused again!!! :)

  9. Oenophile, Wishing you a wonderful Happy Hallowe'ening Birthday My Friend!!! BOOO !!!
  10. George Saint George, Très bien! Oui chacun à son goût... je suis d'accord. (translation... to each his own - I agree) Merci Rick.... :P <------ I'm speaking in 'tongues' to you!!!
  11. Sudo, Wow... what a post! "This is a place of solitude for those wanting a respite." Yes Sudo you have created such a place...never doubt that. I know for me... I was pretty much done with posting on GS 'til I found your little nitch here. It's such a solace for me to come and just put my feet up and read. Myself... like you ... many names I see posted on the Grammies past me by... but when I hear something I like... I do everything to have it in my life. Music is like that for me. I know this thread is supposed to be a 'MOVIES TRIVIA' type of thread..and yes you are tolerant of our (or should I say MY) music derailments. Perhaps I should start a MUSIC trivia thread.. but again.. I'm not THAT versed in the trivia aspects. Now, I know I introduced Norah Jones to someone a few years back and he thought... WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL? Then about 6 to 8 mths later he came back to me and said.. OH MY ... This Norah ... I can't get enough... she's unbelievable! I think she's the type of musician that takes more than one or two or three listens before you start to see what she's trying to convey. She's certainly not your POP artist... she's really not in any genre of music. She all over the map I like to say... ecclectic. Sudo... Thanks for all you do... it is appreciated up here in the far North. HUGS
  12. Sushi, I laughed... yes... and I did know she was his daughter. Now, this Amos Lee I will be seeing next week in Vancouver... is very much tied, in ways to Norah. He opened for her all last year on her tour. His album was produced by her bass player. As well, her guitarist Adam Levy, the bassist Lee Alexander as well as Norah all play on his album. I thought this to be impressive for a young lad who'd just come out with his debue album in March of this year. OK.. I know it's obscure... but no one able to answer my question of who is Norah Jones and Her Handsome band's favourite band? CLUE... This 'BAND' danced their "LAST DANCE" in 1978 where little chatty kathy's all time favourite musician plays with them. have fun. Rick, Wow...what a pick for your favourite Norah song... I love it.... I was watching her DVD the other day...this woman just drops into a song... no lead in ... nothing.. just boom...she's there... Precious.
  13. Sudo, ABSOLUTELY LOST !!! NO CLUE!!! ZILCH ! :(
  14. Chatty... That's priceless!!! Thank YOU.... I sometimes feel I act like her.. believe you me... and I know a few of you have seen it here on GS. <_< My favourite episode is the one where she is working in the chocolat factory and she's on this assembly line and she gets behind... and then suddenly to not let the chocolats pass unwrapped ... she starts popping them in her mouth. The funniest darn thing ever!!! You beat me to it Chatty... oh my I forgot... she also popped them down her top .... hahahahahahhahh
  15. OH MY GOD!!!! What a mess I've made here! Leave it to good ole' LUCY here to get herself into such a KAFUFFLE!!! Sudo, You need not explain... I completely understand... I wasn't upset about it at all... I was just being my silly self... I guess you took me seriously... I"M SO SORRY :( OK... Sushi...you are very very funny... but unfortunately you are not correct...but thanks for the guess.
  16. "It looks like everything has been guessed at if I'm not mistaken" Chatty, I asked a question but no one has even tried to answer it. ( I know it's a very remote question...but I thought it was a cool one) ... : (
  17. Moony, Of course.. spouses to be are more than welcome... we'll put up with that sweet Teddy of yours for a few days... : ) What the heck am I talking about... I'm not hosting any nostalgia weenie roast... it's too cold here... no one will ever want to come!
  18. Andy, You said: "I don't want to give it away, but that song is from a movie that has been mentioned in recent days here. A movie that I really, really like, and still get goosebumps whenever I hear that theme, which is used throughout the movie." OH OH.. dislexia hits again... I thought you were saying.. That the ACTOR was from a MOVIE that was mentioned here a few days ago.. but you were referring to the SONG! Duh  OK... The actor is Sean Connery (thus my reference to Search For Red October) ... now you're all getting a glimpse of how this mind works ... but what the movie is... Still don't have a clue. Sudo, I have a VERY VERY small house... people would be on the floor and if you wanted.. I could open up the tent-trailer in the driveway and some could camp out there... (not fun.. trust me!) :D
  19. Hey, OH MY ... that's who was singing? OH MY OH MY....I detected an accent (didn't know it was scottish...thought it was irish...and thought the singer was just putting it on). Gee.... That's what Andy was talking about..when he mentioned a movie that was only mentioned a couple days ago... he was talking about Search For Red October. Hey...Sudo...perhaps we could have a 'Nostalgia' weenie roast some year... all 6 of us (hee hee) get together and play 'name that tune' around the campfire...whadda' think? And Sudo can entertain us with his incredible table top dancing routines he's so famous for. OK.. unless I google those two names... I still haven't a clue what movie this was. I think it was before my time... I'm sooooooooo much younger than you guys you know ; )
  20. Sudo, OK...must pick Chatty's brain... <_< Ummmm... your song... well.... all that comes to mind is Bing Crosby... but he sang in ALL his movies... so cannot be him. But the voice sounds like Bing... ummmmmmmmm
  21. "I've paid money to feel like what you just described. Had to come back again and add this: I'm talking to Ala right now on instant message. She's away for the moment, but she just said what do you mean you paid money to feel like.... ....shall I tell her..... " Kathy... are we talking... MIND EXPANDING SUBSTANCES!! :o No wonder I didn't catch on... I'm as pure as the driven snow... (where's that halo smiley when you need one <_< ) Ok...got the Sleeping Beauty and Tchaikovsky too... live with one of those classical heads you know. It's gotta rub off a little after 22 yrs. Hey I didn't get a chance to blither about my weekend... I as you might know, was in Montréal over the weekend to visit my daughter at university and attend a Wynton Marsalis concert. We had second row-centre seats. To say the least ... it was freaken' unbelievable. I'm am not a trained musician who is able to appreciate all he did on stage with this incredible 5 piece band...but it was mind bogglin.   What musicianship, what finess, what ability, control, respect, and pure love of the music. It wasn't about him...that's what I loved... there was no ego involved...the music is why they are there... to give it it's due. His drummer... oh my oh my oh my... his sax player, say no more, his bassist...well.. hubby was in tears, and the piano player... well... the nerdiest little guy, who looked maybe 24 years old... but his fingers.. his fingers could play those keys. It was a honour and privilege to attend such an event. After the concert, there was a line-up at the entrance of the green room. Wynton was not able to see people, because he had a group of students that he was meeting with afterwards. He is an educator of music #1 I believe. He wants to promote music, expose young people to it and broaden their perspectives. I felt I was musically enriched by this experience. OK... in less than 2 weeks.. i'm off to Vancouver to see... Amos Lee... yes.. I the GRAND PRIZE WINNER!!! (insert smiley face with sticking out tongue...my post has come up with... get this... "You have posted a message with more emoticons that this board allows. Please reduce the number of emoticons you've added to the message" message. HAHAHAHA!!! so you have to just imagine the smiley face... since I can't add anymore! Now, since finding out that I had won this trip and I have researched this little lad. His album was produced by Norah Jones' bass player... Norah Jones, her guitarist and her bass player all play with Amos on his album... No wonder I was telling everyone he was a male version of a Norah Jones.. duh... Sudo, Keep up the guessing game.. I'm getting the hang of it (I think)... if only I could figure out how to post links and pics like everyone else around here... OH MY :o That would probably NOT be a good thing... I'd never leave this place... it would be one music madness marathon for me. OK... I'll leave you guys and gals with one little trivia question: Who is Norah Jones' and her Handsome Bands' all time favourite band? :P
  22. I'm not saying a worrrrrrrr -_- dddddd!!
