mr. music and mr. socks... Don't mean to give you all this grief... Ok.. the URL linky thingy worked when I posted it here on GS.. .but then when i went to check if it actually brought me to the right place that's when I got this thing asking me to download a certain something to be able to play... ------> Check it out... :( top of page too Socks... thanks for the good laugh about fargo... god... I could hear her voice...when you wrote it out.
-
Mr. Musicman, Thank you for your concern. About the URL, it worked but the link said you had to download a certain something or other to see the video... grrrr. This link was from my MSN email account. They always have these videos to view from sympatico/msn. Some are funny, some are about music, actors, current events... I just didn't want to send people here to something like that.

Mr. musicman, Mr. Music.. had you noticed that you were at something like your 10,665th post? Is there a problem here???

OK...I'm trying something here... hope to God it works... Just finished watching this Diana Krall video. The first tune... has this amazing guitar solo... for you guitar junkies, I think you will enjoy. The second song... is a Nat King Cole song. She is a bit outta breath ... she's pregnant with twins right now. :D Poop... it didn't work... But I'm gonna post this one... from You Tube... the guitar work is just as rich... Diana Krall - Cry Me A River <---- Why is this happening? I copy and pasted the link... and suddenly I get this page of computer jibber that I can barely read, let alone understand? sigh...

No NO NO NO... don't delete.... :o You posted Keb Mo' and Robert Cray! YEEHAHHHH KEB MO' What a wonderful sweet soul of a man!!! He was so wonderful... and he and Bonnie...such a delight to see play together. They really love and respect each other. It ooozed off the stage!!! He must have played at least 10 different guitars that night...one after another. Switched almost every song. And his deep, rich tonal voice...oh so soothing and commanding all at once. And... the guitar playing... my oh my. Smooth as molasses! ROBERT CRAY What an accomplished musician he is. Heart and soul and blues...that's what he's all about. He's right there in the moment...playing his guts out on stage. He came out at the end and played a couple of songs with Eric as well as started the encore for Eric... Cocaine. OK...that's it. I can't describe it like Socks would... but that was the feel I left with that night in Montreal. Thanks Thanks Thanks Chatty for all the effort you put into posting these. : )

Sorry guys and gals...didn't mean to get all 'spiritual' on ya! Sigh... I do love Neil Young's 'grungie' sound though. Aside all that, I am posting here for Chatty. She sent me an email this morning saying she could not get onto GSC earlier and would be out all day but that she wanted to let you all know that she was going to post the other Clapton pictures this evening. : )

Ok... something right off in left field here. was goofing around tonight on limewire... someone mentioned that they were listening to some Neil Young...Are You Passionate I started to download some stuff of his I didn't have...such as the one above and others... I stumbled across this one: When God Made Me Was he thinkin' about my country Or the color of my skin? Was he thinkin' 'bout my religion And the way I worshipped him? Did he create just me in his image Or every living thing? When God made me When God made me Was he planning only for believers Or for those who just have faith? Did he envision all the wars That were fought in his name? Did he say there was only one way To be close to him? When God made me When God made me Did he give me the gift of love To say who I could choose? When God made me When God made me When God made me When God made me Did he give me the gift of voice So some could silence me? Did he give me the gift of vision Not knowing what I might see? Did he give me the gift of compassion To help my fellow man? When God made me When God made me When God made me When God made me Have a sweet sleep everyone... Bonne Nuit

Mr. Miller, Wowza... this Mr. Wooten... there are no words... yes the harmonics...and how he tunes the bass while he is playing... jaw on floor.... Went to see Mark Sullivan tonight... you would have enjoyed his playing. He just seems to get better and better. He can no longer compete at the Grand Master level now since he has won the title 3 times. And such a sweet kid (only 24). The whole evening was a tribute to Don Messer. A famous fiddler from Canada. He had a show on CBC every saturday night from 1948 - 1972. His show was a mix of fiddling, stepdancing, square dancing, celtic singing and highland dancing...but it had a flavour and it was certainly downhome. anyhow... I will post asap. These players though, Bella, Mr. Wooten...alll soooooo amazing. Thanks for widening my musical arena. Ok... I will post a song...chatty...where are you??? I need that refresher...soon. Mr. Strange, Have you caught up on your reading yet? Welcome JChev.

Dear Socks, Well ... thank you very much for the picture compliment. Glad you and 'mom' enjoyed them. I was very pleased with the way they turned out and it was a darn miracle that I was able to bring my camera in to the the Clapton Concert...that was amazing to say the least! I keep going back to the page with the pictures and looking at them up here.. and I can't believe I actually took those photos. It just blows my little photographic brains away! Oh and to answer your question? I hop THEN I shoot then hop some more! : ) I'll try to get some pictures for you Mr. Music ... no guarantee about the video...but might pick you up a CD... and get it signed... that's doable.

OH MY... that's next door to me... I was born in Oshawa (and hubby too) this is too weird.

Mr. T. Bone, Thanks you for the compliment on the pics.. It means the world to me. I thought they were pretty spectacular pictures because of the pretty spectacularily talented people. Thank you AGAIN for the great job Chatty... hugs to you!

Thanks Chatty my sweet friend! You are a doll. It was so fun taking these shots. Enjoy. OH mr. Miller, This Thursday ... I'm off to see a friend of mine Mark Sullivan... play his sweet fiddle. He is 3rd time Grand Master Canadian Fiddle Champion. Can't wait. Will take pics. I promise. : )

Bluze Bro, How did your Cynthia feel about this boobie-wonder gal doing what she did? I know if someone did this to my husband and I was present and it continued for awhile...I would have left.

Kevlar... You're killing me here... I can't stop chuckling to myself.... and for some bizarre reason ... this joke that my daughter told me yesterday popped into my head... so I feel this is a 'sign' and I must share. (I think it was inspired from reading what is written under your avatar). Man in restaurant calls over his waitress: Waitress, there is a dead ant floating in my soup. Waitress: I know. They're not very good swimmers.

OH MY GOD!!! MONKEYS... (not sure what kind...not the Vervet Monkey I saw earlier though) baboon like... and the baby is nursing from it's mom... and it's just fallen asleep... i just watched it's eyes drop and fall asleep...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh The monkeys (younger ones)noticed the camera and were playing around the camera... watching it move... Also, a big monkey is grooming another... looking for lice and such...one was actually completely layed out flat while the other groomed, legs up and all!!! Absolutely halarious. I'm ABSOLUTELYFREAKED....and this baby asleep in it's mother's arms!!! and the noises...my oh my.... there must be about 10-15 of them...two of them just scampered accross the field...as if one was chasing the other.... so fast that dust was flying. There is definitely some 'alpha male' character in this group. He's huge and seems forever on guard! Feeling a little Jane Woodall-ish! AHHHHHHHHHh tooooooo much excitement for one morning! breath breath... also Impalas and wildabeests... I think i need a tranquilizer

Just saw a monkey... I could hear him...what the coolest and sweetest sound. But, the camera did not pick up the movement of the monkey. Now, it seemed that at first the camera was on a motion censure, especially in the evenings and late night. Is that not the case now? I know the camera is manned by someone during the day for the most part, but it seems the camera doesn't move now in the evenings. Signed: Be-wild-ered  (pun intended )

Just googled this Stanley Clark...please forgive my ignorance here. Interesting website... but I thought this was the coolest... he has a Stanley Clark Scholarship... This is what is written in the Scholarship Section: Stanley has never lost his awareness that the opportunity to excel in art, in fact all of society, is not equally available to everyone. Sometimes the only thing that separates a young person from success at a high level is the avenue. Believing that “talent, and not one’s socioeconomic background should be the predicate of an individual’s chance to go on to create artistically,” Stanley feels that those who have had success in realizing their own vision have a duty to help others in their struggle to emerge. What an insightful man.
