You've not seen the Red Violin...??? This is one of my favourite movies... (and not because of this section) but it's a great and wonderful story and a famous Canadian did all the violin parts in this movie... Joshua Bell... : ) oh... I wanted to post this a while back... these ladies I saw in September... ONE OF THE GREATEST CONCERTS EVER!!!! and considering I saw John Mayer and Eric Clapton in the same month.... this video really does not do them justice I feel... nothing like LIVE!!! Enjoy

OK... I just stole this from the Guitar thread for you Jonny... thought you might enjoy listening to this wonderful theme song called Going Home... from the movie... LOCAL HERO Actually that movie reminds me a little of you...what with this wild Russian Sea Merchant coming onto the shores of Scotland to have a good Cehli... just like you Jonny... GOING HOME to the Amazing Sea Monkeys Going Home.... Just click Chatty... I have no idea what those are ... but I swear they look like those ASM's ... mayb the ones that have been missing that you mentioned earlier? Could it be? All this time they've been locked up in a woman's bathroom at your work??? Poor things... having to listen to the endless blither of woman putting makeup on or pulling up their pantihose or asking to 'pass me some paper please' It's a great day for Amazing Sea Monkeys... first Me, then Jonny now this!!! It's all to much for a little ASM like me. I think i need some rest

Chas... Just finished watching your first clip... DUH...don't I feel like the BOZO!!! First... Mark is Scottish...oh my...that's what makes this sound of his what it is...it's his influence from in the womb you could say! Secondly...he wrote the film score for Local Hero...One of maybe my 5 all-time favourite movies...I even downloaded the film score one time and copied it for a friend. Didn't even look into who had done it...DUH AGAIN!!! the moment I heard him play and this celtic sound came out...I thought... OH MY... Local Hero...it's him!!! So excited now!!! (I know doesn't take much these days) sigh... i think i got you beat chatty on this top of the page thingy :(

"Well, sooner or later, everyone will realize that Tom's thread "Amazing Sea Monkeys" is the real reason for GS." AMAZING SEA MONKEY Socks. So glad the AMAZING brother Socks..guided you back to us!! Jonny, I'm so glad you are back with us ... that dark monkey  He'll stop at nothing!!! Even you brother Jonny...far far away in those frigid waters of Alaska... floating around in the cold sea... and wham... there he was ready to bite all your tentacles (plural) right off! Well all I have to share is one song by a certain older and very wise Sea Monkey John Sebatian in light of your return. Welcome Back Welcome back, Your dreams were your ticket out. Welcome back, To that same old place that you laughed about. Well the names have all changed since you hung around, But those dreams have remained and they're turned around. Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya) Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya) Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back, Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

Chas... Nice choice with the Dave Matthews...there is something very sombre and eerie about his sound... I have tons of his stuff... very meloncholy. That is a great video...well done.

OH...MY... i've found my way back... It has been too long...(I think since page 20 or so??) I had fallen by the seaside and was wandering for many many moons .... Even though I was in the dark and under the influence of the Dark Monkey I could still feel the pull of your SIM. Thank you all for never giving hope on me. I'm crying real SM tears.... 'There's no place like home... There's no place like home."

OK... you tube addict here... (thank you very much Mr. Music :( ) I just wanted share with everyone ... this ladies induction into folk music Here it is.. I'm coming outta the closet... Gordie This was way before the day of music videos... (obviously!) I was 10 when this performance was done. ... yet the song was written for our 1967 for our country's centennial celebration. Now...watching this for the first time for me was absolutely amazing... all these years never seeing him in concert... and now this... how strange :o

Going to see these ladies on Friday. Thought that Mr. Music might enjoy their sound. It's an haunting sound which for me has been best described as 'Gothic Folk'. The Be Good Tanyas - The Littlest Birds
-
Socks, Here's something that might get your mind off of guitars... Your 'my gallery' has nothing in it. I need to see photos, your works of art. I showed hubby your FARGO posts... he was giggling much! Top of page AGAIN ... :(
-
Thanks Mr. Music, I linked that link...but the first one I linked didn't work because they were asking you to download a certain thingy in order to view it. So I put the utube link instead...it's not as recent as the other performance of Diana... But thanks for your concern... I'm just trying to figure out how the heck to do the music thingy now... chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy where are you?

"A la, those lines are mines, I'm messing around with them in a song, but haven't finished them yet. They come and go, come and go... doh.gif " Wonderful...Swell!!! Well, I look forward to what else comes forth from your song. I wrote a few songs a few months ago... it's a fun but sometimes painstaking process. You gotta' be moved... oozing...with something in that emotional/inspirational mode. You know... Mayer's lyrics are amazing to me. He writes and puts the whole picture in front of you. How does someone do that? I'll have to checkout that score on Fargo... sounds interesting.
-
Chatty Well I think I figured it out... but I think Socks answered my question in 'FARGO' speak. Socks, Did you watch this movie a few mazillion times in order to get the 'speak' down??? I can't stop giggling each time I read your post.
-
Socks, Who's lyrics are those? "Everybody's got a scar they hide Everbody's got their place inside Where there's a story better left untold."
