Westbrook, 53 pitches in four innings. Not bad for as many runners as he has put on. Of course, Mr. ground ball has gotten those DPs which help.
-
Hey, don't forget, the Indians have other help around here besides Linda!!!
-
Yea, I missed it too. Can you have another birthday right away so I can honor it properly??!!

Happy Birthday!!! Charlie’s™ Tuna Melt Wraps Ingredients: (4) Mission® Low Carb Soft Taco Size Flour Tortillas 1 (7 oz.) pouch or 2 (3 oz.) pouches of StarKist Flavor Fresh Pouch® Tuna (Chunk Light or Albacore) 1/2 cup diced celery 2 Tbsp. of sweet green pickle relish 1/2 cup or 4 oz. of light mayonnaise 1 tsp. of lemon juice 1 cup of sharp Cheddar cheese (shredded) Directions: If broiling, pre-heat oven on broil to 350°F. In a bowl, combine the tuna, celery, pickle relish, light mayonnaise and lemon juice, mixing well to create the “tuna melt” mix. Down the center of each tortilla, place an equal portion of the tuna mix and top each with 1/4 cup of Cheddar cheese. Place each prepared tortilla on a broiler pan and place under the broiler (for microwaves, use a microwave-safe plate) and cook until the cheese begins to bubble (approximately 11/2 -2 minutes). Once each tuna melt is cooked, fold the long end of the tortilla over ingredients and roll tightly and transfer them to individual plates. Prep Time: 10-15 minutes Prep Tool: Microwave or Oven Broiler Serves: 4

Good suggestion, WW. being emotional does not prove or disprove sexual abuse, among other things. Of course I assume that cop is dealing with the emotional person in question, and not someone talking about someone else being emotional.

I may be out of communication here for a couple days, but as this thread has been used so sparingly lately, I wanna put a plug in...I have a question I would like to ask any of you 6th, having partly to do with the fact I spent some time with all of you, or all that made it back to Emporia in your final res year. I would prefer to ask in PM or e-mail, but I'll stick it in here if I gotta. Will check for any replies by the weekend. P.S. The reason I would like to go the PM or e-mail route is in the event I get more than one willing to answer, I would like the answers to be independent of hearing the other answers...but I can do it without that if needed. As I say, I may not get a lot of answers here with how unbusy this thread has been, plus Alfakat is a little "busy" these days!! (Have been in the prayer room lately).
-
Sure does. You may be thinking of the batter not getting credited with an RBI on a groundout double play but this is not the same thing.
-
Spoken like a fellow "taxman"...wait until the deed is done then go get 'em... But if I did my work like that, out finances would be in worse shape than they are...I mean, how many people want to hear that is was partly cloudy and mild yesterday???
-
You are right, you can only write for yourself. As Raf answered Doreen at the beginning of this long thread, you will find a variety of answers here. Also, what most people who have had PFAL who participate in these forums feel in their hearts may or may not be the same as what most people anywhere who have had PFAL feel. It doesn't matter; you have given your testimony and no one can really refute that, as long as you dont try to make your testimony everyone else's experienced also (Like we were ALL blessed or we were ALL deceived, etc) and you don't do that here.

I was apprehensive about the Yanks, since they had swept the Indians 6-0 in the regular season. Fortunately i wasnt on the field, and the Indians seemed not to show the same apprehension.
-
Rhino is right. With no force, the play is reduced to a "time play", simply meaning if the runner from third touched the plate before the third out is made, the run counts.
-
I love other people who have no qualms about showing their age!
-
I think I was lucky you came up with one I knew. It might happen again, in a few months. That one doesnt ring a bell here. Good luck to everyone else!

emigration, not extermination? Did you miss one of the earlier quotes I posted from the leader of that Third Reich? Or do you need more of them? (I can oblige)... When Hell asked Hitler what he intended doing if he ever had full freedom of action against the Jews, his response was: "If I am ever really in power, the destruction of the Jews will be my first and most important job. As soon as I have power, I shall have gallows after gallows erected, for example, in Munich on the Marienplatz-as many of them as traffic allows. Then the Jews will be hanged one after another, and they will stay hanging until they stink. They will stay hanging as long as hygienically possible. As soon as they are untied, then the next group will follow and that will continue until the last Jew in Munich is exterminated. Exactly the same procedure will be followed in other cities until Germany is cleansed of the last Jew!" That really sounds like all he wanted to do was ship them out, eh?

Spoken like a true fan, and an honest one, too...that is, just a "probably" but no guarantees.
-
You eternal pessimist! You are of course saying they would have lost game 5 at home with C.C. pitching! I was around through the end of the game last night but I didnt really feel like whooping it up after I saw the Paw thread. I wonder if Eric Wedge has any shot at AL manager of the year? I would think so.

The lead is starting to get bigger than Byrd can blow, even against the Yankees. If he gets into more than normal trouble, Rafael and Rafael will be there. I can just see the game getting close and Borowski trying to save it, after what happened int he spring. Linda, are you around?
-
Well, they did get to Wang early and of course I was right about Joe having a fast hook. But that may not mean much. Byrd gave up two hits in the first inning. Then to start the second he gave up a walk. That is more trouble than the two hits I'll guarantee. For Byrd anyway.

Funny the way you can re read through this thread and notice something you missed earlier. We are talking about the holocaust, an event from over 60 years ago. I presented a couple (out of many) of Hitler's statements regarding what he thought of Jews and what he was going to do to them. All of this discussion has been about this event, and in an answer to a post of mine, you say you disagree with me, saying that there is currently no attempt to exterminate the Jewish people. Currently? I never said anything about whether or not there were any current attempts to exterminate them. You are disagreeing with me on something I never said anything about. Or is that an admission from you that the Holocaust was an attempt to exterminate the Jewish people? After all, that is what this thread is about. Has anybody else done what I did...go over this threads and notice something that they missed?

Havent "seen" you in a while but you are not forgotten.

Maybe we'd better wake him first... just kidding Raf...I know you're busybusybusybusybusybusybusybusy

She testified, IMO, because even though it was an extremely difficult thing to do, she recognized the value of what she had to say...and more importantly, knew that others would too.

Prediction: The Tribe-Yankee series will go to game 5. The Yankees will hit Byrd as much or more than they hit Westbrook. Wang is the big question mark. If the Indians can hit him as they did in game 1, it could still be interesting. I think he will be better, but even if he isn't, everyone knows dang well Torre will be rid of him a whole lot sooner. Byrd can certainly be hit. His strength is control and finesse with his Bob Feller style (and taught) delivery. If he gives up a lot of baserunners, as C.C. did, he doesnt have the power C.C. has to put the next batters away.

I know our Good Seed people from Indy did a lot of the music but they didnt do that one, which I dont remember. I do remember the rope. Something about ropes. That one, and the one we had to march through obstacles on corps camp less than a year later.

Now THAT is good...any team that can win 18 out of 17 will not be stopped!!!
