Whenever I heard that definition repeated ver batum it always sounded like just so many words. I looked up the definition of "manifestation" and came away with a working definition (to me it worked) as "out here in the real world where somebody can see it". Then it made sense to me: Living life out in the open (no behind closed doors secrets) with my actions coming out of my heart for God and the "works" that I do being governed by "Scripture". Of course it didn't always come out that way - - but I think I came a whole lot closer to the intent of that phrase than any of the bot's or bod's or mog's of their time. At least I gave it my best shot.

Too bad they really don't "Walk in the Steps of Jesus Christ". If they did - - there would be no contest here.

...coming to a corner in every major city in the USA if they get their way...

That's the kind of thing that bothers me. Spme people thing the next global war will be over oil - - but I wonder if it will be other comodoties...like food, soil, land, water...stuff like that

Suppose we lift up our vision and view the planet as a whole - - just as another point of view. Things we've done to increase food production are great things inasmuch as we can feed more people. But that leads us into the faulty idea that we can probably feed everybody if we work hard enough at it. And the truth is, we can never even hope to begin to do that no matter how much we try, or how much we put into it. In fact, the more we put into it, we soon come to a place of diminishing returns where we get out less for our efforts which are increasing. We irrigate by taking water from underground aquifers and we deplete them prematurely because we remove the water faster than it can recharge. As somebody in Florida who lost his house or car in a sink hole how much they liked that. Sink holes result from removing water from underground aquifers with a high water table. In addition, irrigation with underground water adds salts to the soil. Underground water holds dissolved minerals which are left behind in the soil after the plants are harvested. It's been estimated that after about 20 years of heavy irrigation like this, the soils have become so "salty" they won't support normal crops without cleaning out. That's a time consuming process (years) and depends on rainfall. I should quit going on like that! There is a balance of using what we know for the greatest good....and not more than that. Determining what the greatest good is, is the major problem. Is it feeding all the hungry??? or keeping the soils in great condition for farming? I don't want you thinking I have the answers 'cuz I don't - - just a big mouth with a whole lot of questions.

Cool teacher! Cool assignment. I'll bet this has to do with US geography and the names of states! As a teacher, I would have accepted the "Mary" above. The set is, limited to begin with. I agree with what's here....and I'll think about the rest of them. I love puzzles like this.

I've been thinking of him (and you) all day. Tears.....again....too.

ex70's - - it just occurred to me that what I wrote before could have been misunderstood as an insult...and that was not intended. I apologize if I came across badly there. krys

Surely ex70's - - you have more right-brain than that!

That is an interesting point of view sushi! I was never good enough. If I scored 94 on the Solid Geometry Regeants, they bugged me as to why I didn't score 98 or 100. Same with everything....no matter what I did, or how hard I tried, or what I put into it, it was not good enough.

Here's how I see this: People from all over the world have paid good money to watch his films and folks have adored his beautiful wife. They have accepted all the world's praise and given us back, (in return) a piece of ..... Granted it's mounted artfully on a slab of wood, but it's still a piece of ....!

Indeed - Oak...I remember the same thing. And I responded the same way until something else happened. Even though I was out before these Message Boards made their appearance, I think that today, they will count more than my TC's word for it...for all the reasons you listed. The internet? Well, it's a great deal, but it doesn't work the same way in China that it does here! Not everybody is as free to explore as we are!

You mean somebody actually said "yes"? jk That's great! Congratulations

He's made out news here too from time to time. It's good he's in custody.

Maybe it will shift further eastward -- it wouldn't take much.....

I cried a little...but not that she saw. She had also been to preschool, so in a way, from her perspective it wasn't really very new. Also it was 25 years ago, and kids weren't expected to know much of anything then. Today's kindergarten is different. Wayside said it well, allow the day to unfold and enjoy it. I wish I had taken the time myself to journal it for me. We forget a lot of things over time............
