There is a third purpose to hunting. If we do not allow and encourage it in areas where herds are over-running their territories, the number of animals soon becomes large enough that the herd cannot overwinter on the standing vegetation. When this happens, they have been known to actually kill smaller trees while nibbling deep into the bark....and...very often the entire herd will collapse (die) of starvation. Which would you rather? Permit liberal hunting [especially for those who take and use all of the animal] or allow the group to swell to such numbers that some winter it starves to death.

We used to call these "ice box cookies". They are just chocolate wafers and if you look you can find them. We used to spread whipped cream between them, and layer them until we ran out of cookies. One on top of another. Then we mixed up more whipping cream and spread it over the outside of the log we'd built. Put this in the refrigerator a while (forgot how long) and then cut it diagonally. You get sliced chocolate and whipped cream decadence which is very hard on the arteries, but feels good on the tongue.

That may be so. However, I don't expect any sentence to be carried out in my lifetime!

I am speaking for myself only. If I were in his shoes, I don't think I'd want my kids to know anything about twi...especially if it had nothing to do with them. Personally, I would hide any evidence of my association with that crowd - - but that's m-e! On the other hand....if I were in his position....it is my opinion....that I'm not sure I'd like exposing my kids to the like of us whom I know only over the internet. That's only my opinion. The chances I would take for myself, aren't those I would expose my kids to necessarily.

We've heard this before only it sounded a little different. IIRC it went something like ..."there are those of us who will hunt you down....and smoke your sorry a@@es out..." oops - -I left out "gladly" ...glady hunt you down.... or was that ...gladly smoke you out.... same thing, really
