That is really cool! Congratulations!!!

I'm kinda glad you were born too! I'm sure your kids agree with me. Hope you enjoyed a happening day!!!

Congratulations dooj! You know, there is no end to the collective talent here at this greasy spot! Thanks for sharing them with us!

The male students wore them like that for gang affiliations among other things; but wearing them like that, there was plenty of room to hide weapons or things that could be used for weapons...it can make a person rather nervous. My next door neighbor teacher discovered a firearm in one of the desks in her classroom. it was hidden in somebody's pants we suppose.

Abi is one of the wisest womenn I know who can explain things so anybody can understand them. Thanks abi.

I knew that one......after dooj posted it - - I knew she was right!

Please give us another clue while I look for my pointy hat.

They are one of the species of silk worms. They were imported from England with the hope of increasing silk production by breeding the two worms together. I didn't work! When the lab was cleaned up afterward, the lab assistant tossed the remaining worms out the lab window. They pupated, adults emerged the next spring and the rest is history. In England these creatures have natural enemies which keep their numbers in check. There were none here hence the explosion in their population. Their numbers are kept in check today with biological controls. BT is a bacterium which attacks the caterpillars in such a way that that they never pupate and never reproduce. There is also a predatory wasp which acts in a similar way.

The gypsy moths are an example of an ill advised import of a specied into a place where they did not exist naturally. That's why they produce such a hassle. But still, in the long and short of it, even the ugliest dung beetle has a purpose. A couple of dozen of them can bury and therefore remove the pile of several elephant's dukies in under an hour. I don't want that job!

These guys are wonderful! I love 'em, but you knew I was gonna say that. You want to see a mess?? Try being in Bergen and Passaic County in June 1971 when we had the first major outbreak of gypsy moths. Now that was a mess. There was a little bridge that divided my town and the fire company had to keep a truck there to power wash it down every 15 minutes or so because when the cars ran over the bodies, the bridge was as slick as if it was covered with ice in the winter. And yes, Rottie, stuff like this makes me shiver 'cause I do see God in it. You'll see Him even bigger if you put a leaf under a microscope!

I'm glad you're ok! Take a few sips of water before you try that big capsule. One of my nurses once told me I'd never get in trouble if my chin was always down when I swallowed...not down on my chest, just not pointed up in the air. Once I got it started I drain the glass of water.

That is more than sad! How can 2 people chat so coldly about what you cannot accomplish! Instead of that - - they should put their heads together in prayer for you and your family! I'm so sorry that's the "ilk" you live around.

Isn't this Sunday Mother's Day?

I kind of like them - especcially if you have a small business and have a workshop you want to enclose! Help me out, though. What is a 50 pound snow load? is that per sq foot?/ and how deep is it?

The judge gets my vote! No partiality there - for once. I think the hardest part for Paris will be no booze for 45 days. Yes, she's spoiled, yes she thinks she's entitled -- but if it wasn't for the booze I don't think she'd be quite this deep in her "stuff".

I agree with polar bear! Sometimes I think home schooling is the answer, but if this kind of school is working, maybe it's better. Your son did great Abi - I also want to reach in a give him a hug. And thanks for that simple explanation. That the best way anybody has explained charter schools to me in a way that makes them unique from private schools, although I realize every state probably does things differently. I hope this spot grabs the attention of more families, because it looks like these children are really getting a much better education.

Terrifying! That's one good thing about Jersey...................... [but that is an awesome photo]

Search out some rescue groups who rescue this type of dog. I know that many breeds have rescue groups for animals that people don't want anymore (for whatever purpose). For example grayhounds - after they can no longer race, they are retrained to live in a home and adopted. They make great pets. These groups have many ways to get dogs to their intended recipients. Sometimes, people are so committed to the purpose that they agree to drive the animal to his final destination (in stints of 200 or more miles). NH is generally a socially responsible state so not only would it be a good place to adopt dogs out from shelters, but it is also a good place to train a service dog. Go for it - and good luck.

I must add this: In any court ordered visitation order, the parents must be responsible to have the child ready for the non-custidial spouce for visitation. Baldwin described how when it gets close to time for these phone visits he drops what he's doing and finds a phone at the designated time. It is Basinger's responsibility to be sure that Ireland is ready to recieve his call! That means the phone is on and the child has no other responsibilities at that time. If Ireland didn't pick up the phone, that responsibility falls on Basinger to settle so that she does. Ireland can't make any decisions regarding visitation until she is "of age" and that's usually about age 16.

I just lost my whole post - aaakkkk doncha hate it when that happens? Here was the main message in my previous post. Baldwin has had a nuumber of issues with Bassinger regarding this child. I know Ireland would listen to the voicemail, but in reality I think Baldwin was addressing the actions of his ex-wife. For all we know - Bassinger was listening to the voicemail clapping her hands saying I got him again! Yes!! Of course the words he used for his daughter were terribly wrong. IMHO if Bassinger's concern were for Ireland only, she would have waited until she did see the judge and play the tape for him only. Somebody may regret leaking the tape (and hiring such a bruising body guard). It just seems to me that although Baldwin is no angel, he was set up on this one. One thing for sure, Ireland is going to be one confused young lady. I hope she get's a good set of standards to follow in real life...most people need them. And I'm sorry I confused you. I haven't been around these parts in a while so you wouldn't have a clue about my posting style, not to worry!
