Botox treatments

I have a seriously drooping eyelid I want to fix, but it's not "medical" yet - - -that has to be occluding the pupil by more than 25%. It's one of those congenital things....when I was a kid and really tired it would droop but not this bad. I don't think I would do botox or that kind of thing, though, and my boobs are sacred - - they shall not be outsourced! I'm editing to say that although nothing I have will be outsourced.....I forgot all about liposuction being cosmetic! Now I wish I could afford cosmetic surgery.....sigh..............
2. Dot, reviews are strange. I agonized over a small washer/dryer combo by LG. I never heard of LG and the reviews I read were iffy! But then I realized from re-reading them that the negatives were expecting full size results from a small apartment sized machine. This is only built to do 6 pounds, so if you treat it like a regular machine, of course you're gonna be disappointed. Long story short, I ordered it, it arrived in 3 days and I couldn't be happier. I certainly empathize with you...it wasn't only $$ but people mocking me that I would have had to endure.....but even THEY had to be quiet. I'll bet you have the same good results I did. People will write a review if they're unhappy - - but are less likely to write a review if all goes well...that's the nature of it.
3. This has nothing to do with evolution (obviously) but if you want the anticipated benefits of all the stem cell research, these are some of the experimeentations you have to go thrrough in order to get there! It's all in the name of research................
4. I would call the dentist (he has an answering service) and tell him the tylenol III isn't working and you need something stronger, and don't hang up until he agrees to help! You do not need to be in pain another 2 1/2 days.
5. jeast - - imho - - you are a King among Princes!
6. and I also wish you many many more!!!!
7. I am very happy to check out various drugs prescribed or suggested. I also value various support groups I have discovered on the Internet.
8. Knock knock.....oh Countess! I do hope your back is all better. George needss a slap. (only kidding George - - I love you...and you know it.)

Song of the moment

sigh - - - nope Excathy - - I never have. But I know people who have had that experience, and I envy them. ps John Denver floats my boat!
10. I understand why it sounds like Pachbell - - I went and listened to the posted Pachbell and from minute 5 on......it is very similar to the WaterMusik. But I am certain, on my youngest-born's flesh.....that is is the Handle piece!
11. It's from GF Handle's WaterMusik.....I think it's the tail end part....the "Hornblower". This is rarely played at weddings though, especially for a recessional.

what would you do.

I agree with George; except instead of the bottle, it would be a broken cistern which can hold no snake oil, so it dribbles out the bottom.
13. I really enjoyed his writings too. To me, it doesn't matter who was around to act as inspiration. I just enjoyed reading about things from a 10 year old point of view. I'm not too sure what lcm for example, would have added to his young life. Christian certainly has a really good way with words, and depicting things from a boy's point of view. I loved that.

For Ham

I loved it. I wish I could have been along for the ride!
15. I still love their songs! One of my favorite CD's is "Boston Pops Plays the Beatles". No lyrics at all, just instrumental. It's great music - - either way.
16. FaintWhispers said: And in retrospect, this thread seems indicative, of more of, what one should normally expect here. By making one declarative sentence, FW avoided name calling or finger pointing, but managed to have the same outcome as if she did. Way to go FH!
17. We ALL worked for them! We all had ROA jobs. We all had other capacities in which they squeezed work outof us. You never moved a leader? Cleaned a house for a class or otherwise??? ran a class??? made brownies for a branch meeting?
18. It's ToonTown Honey! You can check out but you can never leave. Think of it just as a parallel TWI Cult Universe! The search is still on for Gear, Martingale, VP's Mog's and others. But watch out for the Weasels, they slobber all over your posts before they get you! :biglaugh: Bumpy you have quite a way with words. These are stellar and I thank you. As far as I'm concerned that second part about the weasels should be engraved in bronze and nailed over the entrance to every Internet Café, and be a required "retemory" before anyone gets to type on a keyboard!!
19. Thanks for the reference, now I think I understand where you're coming from. On the thread you referenced, the main topic of the thread was what twi said vs what they did. They were dishonest in all their dealings with us. You perhaps did not realize the thrust of that thread and posted beneficial things you learned. You were not wrrong. Many have valued some of the same things you mentioned. It was not all bad. Even my son credits much of his success to his corps training even though he was tossed out under the most miserable and humiliating experiences. Now in retrospect, I think it would have been better if you hadn't posted on that thread at all because of all the sarcasm. People were looking for anything they could prepare a sarcastic negative response to.....and all of THOSE were right too. You know they taught one thing and did another (in the context of what was written on that referenced thread) Perhaps a similar misunderstaanding occurred here. This thread is about how we treat each other here in this time and space. It doesn't have anything to do with twi at all - - except for the fact that wee were all once "members" BUT - thats what this thread is all about in another way too. If somebody is being attacked, that should no longer happen. If Anyone is consistently getting attacked, perhaps they may be bringing it on by their writing style or ideas they hold that aren't valid. I'm glad to see this discourse going on, but it is a shame that it has to. We are all consenting adults and we have to be told to play nice. What eveer happened to "walking in love"? Some of the things I've seen written here cause me to not want to be associated with the lot of some of you and it's not gonna take much before the butterfly is gone and so am I. This is a disgrace and the fighting makes me sick. Figure it out, will ya?
20. Garth, I don't understand what you said.
21. Why do you have to set out the parameters first? What if......and suppose so and so.....????? That takes so much time to figure out! Well that certainly seems to be fair, really. But I ask you, what if someone tells a story of a fine and wonderful time that they had in The Way Corps or as a WOW and then gets lambasted as a "Wierwille apologist" with a "sophomoric attitude" because they have chosen to focus on the "good times" (rather than the bad times) that they had in The Way Ministry or in The Way Corps? What if the person who tells a story with a positive twist is accused of "Way brain-ism" which is tantamount to de-railing the mission of the Grease Spot Cafe and therefore is still an "automaton" and akin to Wierwille and his "evil minions"? Will you not tolerate those kind of attacks also? I can't count the times I have told a positive story here about times in The Way and then been outright attacked for doing so. I hope the wind blows both ways if there is to be a more intensive amount of moderation (censorship?) here. Why not just live life and enjoy what you have. Be honest and forthright, and see what happens. You're just looking for somebody to pounce when you set up stories like that.
22. Rocky brings up yet another point - - heredity. He knows his, and plans accordingly. I know mine. On my father's side of the family there is limited knowledge since my grandfather is the only person (besides his wife) to emigrate from Denmark. He died at 77 from a ruptured aortic aneurysm at a time when it could not be found and repaired (1963). My grandmother, his wife died at 51 of her 3rd major stroke. My father died of a massive heart attack while fending off the flu; but he had been suffering dementia for years before that. No Alzheimer's for him - - he had a large number of small strokes none of which caused any specific decline, while all those together caused him to require constant custodial care. At my age of 65, I think I've done moderately well, given my grandmother's state. Given the host of other problems this body endures, who knows it I can live another 10 years. I hope so, and maybe more....but if something should happen and I not wake up in the morning, I think I would have broken even. Maybe some of you thinks that's a terrible statement. Given my blood vessels and heredity, it's not so bad. I do take my meds, sort of, and my vitamins and minerals. I exercise as much as I can and I eat as well as possible. That's all she wrote. I can't do any better than this I don't think.
23. /And yes, we were encouraged to eat margarine but I don't recall it ever being a prescrption drug. And I'm also old enough to remember when 9 out of 10 doctors recommended smoking Chesterfields, so I'm well aware of the pitfalls of lending the medical community more credence than they merit. But how do you decide who is shading their data and who is giving the straight dope? George I remember helping my mother mix the margerine during the second war. Butter was rationed and that's why we had to eat margerine. The only way that I know of to separate good science from not so bad science is to look at the funding and study the individuals who are doing the research. If the drug company is funding the study, I would tend to only half believe it because they want to sell their drugs.....especially this kind. Brand name Zocor sells for $138 for my strength. Last year sometime, the drug company's pattent ran out and geneeric zocor, called simvastin, came out. Now you'd think a generic drug would be cheap, wouldn't you. Well the generic was cheaper, but not cheap - - - it is $74 - - exactly half. Big deal....it's still a lot of money.
