Y'all have been having all the fun. I hope I can catch up after my beauty sleep!

The difference between a rut and a grave is the depth thereof.

When I was young, we had a youth pastor and we were discussing this very thing. We weren't "getting it" so he said he would make it easy for us. He said.....an idol is anything you put in front of God. He then said...anything that keeps you from Him or takes His place in your lives.

Thanks, Twinky. I agree with you. I have something to add. I value your education. Not only have you studied, but also you have processed what you've learnerd in order to explain it to us. I appreciate not only your taking the time to explain, but also, the fact that you never seem to grow weary of doing so.

DWBH This is for you (you got me hooked on this tune) hooked on this tune - I hope you don't live to regret it.

I don't believe anyone left twi because they followed me out. I was out about 2 years before the '98 Advanced Class. I was one of those stalwart Advanced Class grads whom everyone else depended on. I was involved in this set up or that bookstore. Or coordinate refreshments for this event etc. And also please teach this Sunday and the Sunday after next. It's nice that upper leadership believed in me, but it became too much. I had a full time teaching position in a high school, and a large house that needed continuous upkeep and maintenance. Many of you may now be thinking "Why did you do it all? Why didn't you tell them to stop adding on???" Remember on the other thread when Skyrider said his heart was following other music? That was exactly what I felt. I had wind of some wrongdoing in places, but I just kept my head down because I couldn't believe them and tended to my own business. Then, one day, I was caught with three things left to do on my list and no groceries in the house and I didn't know what to do.

ouch....I felt that all the way over here!

Please don't expose yourself. Perhaps you can relate some of the latter part of the bookends without revealing private issues.
-
I will gather and organize my thoughts in a little while.
-
Will you please allow me to join you in that one-finger salute to the cult puppeteers, past and present?
-
(((Skyrider))) I have no words....<---------she said with jaw ajar.

I understand. Something similar happened to me as I was preparing and writing what I did. As much as I'd like to know the rest of the story, I don't want you to suffer pain in the process. We can wait.

I like the way you think, Twinky!

Do you need your glasses checked?

sorry....didn't intend the extra posts and I couldn't figure out how to delete them. sigh

I'm not saying this is important.....just practicing here...(but I do like this sound)

It's interesting how we get introduced to certain musical personalities and venues.. You guys are stretching me and I like it. When you look at something through someone else eyes, or in this case ears you gain a lot. I enjoyed Adele, but I "hear" her differently now. I'm squeezed for time at the moment, but someday I hope I remember to tell you about how I "met" Peter Nero. Have a good one....see y'all later.

T-bone, I can't imagine how she must have felt about that. I do know that being in the area I was in, worked to my advantage as I had lots of support from gentle coaches who helped me learn a few things in the beginning. I also know that, later, when some of the lovingness began to evaporate, the so called "leadership" would have sternly reproved me for having bothered the man for something like that. After all, I had such a response coming since I bothered the man......didn't I know he was too busy holding the world together to be concerned about my measly foot problem.

Thanks David! What could be simpler than that.

Thanks, David. How did you do that?

This going to be a huge change of pace. For.a long time this was my all time favorite song. In some ways, it still is. (sorry - - couldn't get the picture to load) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nIdGutgymY

Here I am well past my bedtime. I couldn't resist all this wonderful music. (I have to figure out how to post some tomorrow)

That was sweet! I enjoyed it all, and notice that at no time did their fingers leave their hands (especially in the last selection) Thanks gentlemen for this mini-concert; it was such a wonderful reprise!
