For some reason the swine flu vaccine has been especially difficult to acquire. Some part of the reason may be that this is the first time it has been prepared, but I can't understand why it is so hard to get in most places. It could be that you didn't have the H1N1 aka swine flu, but just the regular seasonal flu.

I remember hearing that believing was required of all except the insane, those to young to know enough to believe and the dead.

This has been a most illuminating thread. I wonder what you who always keep silence around here actually think. Exchange of information, even if for a time it is disturbing, is a way a polishing your own thoughts and is, therefore very beneficial. However, I do understand that if one is always silent, there is a great place of safety....nobody can criticize, huh?

It may be risky, but I need to put this out here......The past 48 - 72 hours have been perhaps the most influential in my life. Talk about shaking yourself up!!!! Yes, it's been a roller coaster but I am so very glad that some of these things have been discussed. I find myself more open in that I think I'm more able to accept ideas that were foreign and unacceptable before. It will be interesting to see where this eventually leads me.

Tom, there is no reason for you to feel guilty about ill health of some of your family members. There are too many factors which determine our health (or lack of it) that IMHO it's a bit presumptuous to say you have a hand in there premature deaths. Before this week, I used to have other terms I would use, but I'm not sure they still have validity so I'll hold them back for now. krys

Now I'm pretty angry. I'd like to have the money I handed over......I thought it would be a blessing used for teaching others about God Almighty. Instead, much of it is feathering rfr's mattress (figuratively). I would like to have some of the time back too. I would have loved working with my handbell choir, continuing my own music lessons, being at my children's games etc on a more consistent basis. And I surely would have been better all around if I had more than 4 1/2 hours sleep half the time. But the past is the past. It's on the other side of the gate and I can't go there again. But what I can do is learn a better way. So I have some questions: What do we do now with speaking in tongues? what about some of the manifestations? Was there even a resurrection?

I should have waited a few hours before posting the above.....because now I know how I tumbled down the rabbit hole....and, in fact, I was destined to slide down there by virtue of my upbringing. Thank you Penworks! I was raised in a Fundamentalist church.....they don't get much more fundamental than the Dutch Reformed Church! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. And I know how I'm gonna dig myself out of it....well "dig myself" is not the right thing to say. A donkey fell into a deep hole and the farmer kept trying to kill the donkey by throwing dirt into the hole in an attempt to suffocate him. But as each shovelful landed the donkey walked over to it and tromped it down. It didn't take long until the bottom of the hole was even with the surface of the pasture and the donkey just walked away!
