It's not always easy to predict where and how a thread will develop. At the moment it seems that this has the potential of a rich, full discussion. The ideas of finding truth in the math and science realm (and possibly others) should more correctly go in another thread a bit later.
-
There are other places where you [well I should speak for myself first] find truth too, but I'm not so sure you want to extend the discussion that far. Natural laws are truths - and mathematics, all the various branches of it have their own truths.

The ABS must be really down! They're not getting their per cent.....so they're going for your blood instead!

Welcome Jack Sparrow. Glad you're out of that black hole in Ohio. Seventeen years is a long long time Ik don't know what the past several years have been like except I imagine they would be boring. I can't hardly imagine someone getting involved in the mid 90's (circa '93) and staying around. Weren't they using the red binder then in the class....it wasn't PFAL but I forgot what they did call it. I'm sure you've found some really good pieces to read here. I hope leaving wasn't a struggle for you . I guess you are officially welcomed to the cafe and I hope you enjoy being a greasespot!

did the way international lead us into mental ill health?

I'm glad waysider alluded to the individuality of our unique journeys! And some of us may not be finished with the process. I just noticed a small bolop of green goo in my own surroundings not too long ago and I thought I was pretty well done!!! -

Personally, I enjoy your sense of humoar waysider but I' m a bit concerned about some of the newer posters here getting distracted and thinking the whole thing is one bloody joke. But I do like your style. -
oops - - I thought it was no rest for the weary.

it is an oxymoron. IF you buy the whole ball of wax: including - anything in the real world can be seen by the adversary. You have just shown your hand to the adversary AND your TC AND your mother in law. If you want to keep somebody off your tail, don't do the same thing in the same way with no variation. Write down a plan, if you want....and follow it most of the time, but once and a while don't follow it exactly and you retain an element of surprise. I maintain that there is an adversary, although not framed the same way as twi did. I also maintain that some of the spiritual "rules" are valid. but likewise in the same category as the adversary [please don't press me on this....it's not fully formed in my mind] Therefore, within the confines of this post....I maintain that twi set all up for any and all "attacks"....and...when Greasespot-ness was guaranteed by spittle from the horse's - er jackass' mouth it was the old Girl's Volleyball rules...set up and pass...touble tap. Once they tapped you over the net, into the view of whomever ...you were already doomed. So I also maintain that their evil came/comes in many flavors.

I'm glad you found humor here...because in spite of everything....that's here. Whenever you can take a bit of sadness, anger...negativity etc...and bury it in humor, it's a good day!

Congratulations George - - Peter Pan it is on this Christmas morning. Enjoy your day!..... "I won't grow up, I'll never go to school..." from Peter himself - - - - - - Actually I believe it was from Peter Pan....the earliest edition in the 50's when I first saw it....but you are sooooo close.......take it away!
-

If the Pope is God's man on earth (as he is pro-ported to be) why didn't He, God, didn't let him (the Pope) know that some disturbed woman was going to jump him and drag him to the floor!

Thanks Rumrunner! That's a great way to look at it.....and thanks for showing us this last year I believe, or perhaps it was the year before.

I believe you can use these today to track the man. So what if the world seems to go to hell in a hand-basket.....we can squeeze in a bit of fun with our youngsters today! http://www.noradsant...en/track3d.html http://www.noradsant...n/howtrack.html http://www.noradsanta.org/

Setting another living thing ablaze is not a mistake! Maybe at least one of these boys is really evil and the others just followed along. How do we teach children to think about consequences before they pull off such a devastating action on another person. It seems that the boy's parents don't seem to think it was such a terrible act...."mistake"??? don't treat them like adults....they'll spend 10 or more years in jail....meanwhile Michael is sentenced to many more than 10 years of disfigurement and many months of painful recuperation before that. edited to remove the question - it sounded like an unfair challenge this morning and that was never my intent.

For sure those bronze statues of der vatter dans der Verd.....with the Bible open.....those really are relics, but, since all the monies went through twi coffers, that was ok. Also, it was VP who was being honored. The idea of wearing a cross was ripped out of your brain just as Jesus was ripped out of twi! Such a stupid response.....they gave. When I used to look at my cross, I used to think of the one who saved me from sin.....not how he was killed. sigh.......

Does anyone recall how many members WayDale served as posters OR including posters and lurkers? Methinks we have many more than that number at the Spot.

(tongue in cheek) Oh Bur cheranne, we were the best......at gullibility! We were the best at tossing money in the coffers. We(well some of us, including myself) were the best at ignoring what others were saying. (now it sorta makes me sick) Things were way (pun intended) different under "the loy". But that is another story.

Thanks I really enjoyed that! More than a chuckle or 2!!

Right On! Shellon perfectly stated. The Thing that holds your breast and squeezes not so politely reminds me of large wrench! Maybe it's "my" machine, the boob smasher where I go.....but they do half of each one at a time. Position, smash....check....then to the other half. I've had some mishmash in there too so maybe that's why. And last year they found something that they said looked "nasty". Talk about fear......The second time around on that particular boob, I Thought I would really pee my pants before it was done, I was so nervous. The next day, late in the day....a phone call from the doc.....go tomorrow at 8:00 am for another test. That was a sonogram. The radiologist did it himself (in that office he always does this test himself.) Back and forth all over. I could feel the bump(s) . I took more than an hour for him to "map" that boob. What they found was scar tissue which when you get older accumulates calcium. He mapped them all out so that if another "nasty" shows up, they can check where it is and act accordingly. They'll always act but maybe not so jarringly fast. I consider myself fortunate that such care is around for me. I hate the process...oooooohhhh boy do I hate the process - - but Shellon is right. Ladies go do your thing. Get smashed and we can compare stories like the really old folks compare their gall bladder surgeries! Please!

I think that a polygamist has a finite and fixed number of wives. From time to time he may add to his family, but the entire group is the family. Dirty Old Men are different! [nolongerlurking, I don't think you needed definitions....I'm being raucous.]

maybe He will say..."I never knew you".
