That's why there's NetFlix- - everyone can pick their own poison!

Just about the only thing I believe about homosexuality is that it has nothing to do with debbil spurts. There are so many variations in our chromosomes, and we're finding out that our genes have more to say about who we are (at least initially) that was once originally thought. I've heard of individual babies being born where it's not obvious whether they are male or female. At first I didn't believe it....but having studied and taught biology for so long, I have seen it myself, and I understand some of the genetics behind it. True, this is abnormal. However......there are plenty of kids raised in non-functional households whose whole behavior is wierded out. Perhaps homosexuality is a learned or instilled behavior. So many of our characteristics fall on a spectrum rather than either/or. Haven't we all seen masculinized women who are, really straight women, they just look peculiar? And the same for some men? I'm not prepared to say that our sexuality is inborn, that is, it's the way you were made and you can't change it.....but I do have to admit I believe it's a possibility. I have heard that Dr. Oz tomorrow on his show will present the issue of babies born whose gender is indeterminate at birth. I do plan to watch it....it may help me understand more about this issue.

This is one of the reasons I like Westerns so much. They aren't really classified as one or the other.

George I think they did the first one already....it was called "The First Wives Club"

You have an interesting sense of humor Mstar!!! ********************************************* I pick and choose looking for good science stuff, some things on the comedy channel, and other things here and there. If I can find a good drama that's good. I will admit to one soap opera and as a woman I believe we are entitled to 1 (you guys hog the TV for football etc, so we get at least one soap!!) I agree, TV generally stinks lately....but isn't that why they invented NetFlix?

And I think that is all they were looking for.....a "trophy". If they had any hint about your worth, even as we here at GSC interact with you....they would never have treated you badly.

JJ - - in some ways, you and I could be sisters!

JavaJane: Since when did they ever give a rat's petunias about the individuals EXCEPT to empty our their wallets and scream at them and control the number of sheets of tp that were consumed! I'm really riled up about this group lately..... good evening mr linder

Right Groucho! They didn't always believe in Eve's homosexual encounter....but once it was made plain to them by their fearless leader.....everybody seemed to jump on board and believe the "present truth".

Going back to the title of this thread - I don't know if I would really give her the title of "teacher". I think that the term "instructor" is a better fit. Teachers usually interact with their students in some way...and are not usually made from stone. They also have more than one dress.

Mstar, I think you may be watching at the wrong times. There are plenty of movies on that channel but I read the describtion carefully, sometimes I'm just not in the mood for those films. Sunday nite there is a great series called "Army Wives". It's never man bashing...just a story of 5 or 6 women on the same army post and their lives. It's a fun show...but...maybe men wouldn't like it...but that doesn't mean it's man bashing.

I thought there were grants and/or 0% interest loans to purchase solar cell groups for producing electricity.

This is what I would add to what has already been written: There are those in twi who keep telling you that if you leave them, you will walk out from underneath God's protection, and, therefore you'll be leaving yourself wide open to all kinds of assaults from the adversary! "THAT", as they are fond of saying "is a lie from the pit of hell"...only they are the ones lying to you. All they hope to gain is to keep you under the weight of their fist of fear. All of us who are now "outies" can tell you that you just cannot walk away from God like that! Don't fall for their lie.

Last time I flew (early July) nobody was passing bags to Sky Caps to check through...all bags had to be brought to the check in counter and weighed. Each bag had to be paid for then (It was not on the price of the ticket) and also if the bag was over 50 pounds bore an additional charge. This was on Continental Air. The only airline that I know of at the moment that still takes one bag per passenger FREE is Jet Blue.

former message replaced... I'm sorry Skyrider.....I didn't intend to kill your thread. Next time I'll think twice before I open my mouth.

During those times, gas was really cheap. My dad would often get $2.00 worth and it would last pretty nearly the week. Of course with rationing for rubber etc....we didn't go far....but Grandma's house was an easy journey. My brother and I rode in the rumble seat. [Google it- you'll be in for a delightful time]. In winter we were bundled in snow suits, over wrapped with blankets....and then the 2 of us were wrapped together with a couple of other blankets and I don't remember ever being cold. I actually loved the rumble seat most of the time! Now - rationing during the war was another matter, and usually not pleasant at all......except for a chocolate red-devil's cake made with mayonnaise instead of Crisco or any other source of fat.

Pardon - - C@rr went to New Jersey

Does anyone besides me wonder what it was like crossing an ocean in ships like that? I have a love of sailing....and even raced sailboats for a time...but, clearly these were no races!

I would rather simply sign Raf's letter and pass it around for others here to sign....and let it be known that I think the same way.

I remember 2 of the upper echelon going through records in the basement of one of the buildings in Princeton and they did locate his name on something. I wasn't concerned so I didn't pay all that much attention to the announcement.....but....I do know I heard what I heard.

Nope - not at all. I can't read Paw's mind, but we know that he takes strong action when some of the patrons take things too far. My guess is, that he set up that forum so that he would have a place to dump such a thread it it went "over the edge".
-
nope - nothing has been dumped. There has been a serious rearrangement of things.....so you have just decided "As the turd whirls" will be a literal forum.....tee hee You guys are tooo funny
